The thing with the Bucs in TB's first year with them is that I think, at the first, the head coach wanted TB to play his way. Eventually he realised that to get the best out of a TB team, he needed to adapt around TB. Then he moved on and the coach in TB's last year wasn't so good.

This is just one of the problems. Mac is getting a lot of blame, and some of it is deserved, but when the O line is awful, receivers aren't winning matchups, and he has two seconds to throw the ball...what else do you want him to do? No one is playing well on this team. Gonzalez was, but he's out for the season.

Brady covered up all of the poor offensive decisions that the Pats made over the past few years, the offensive talent got progressively worse from 2016 / 2017 onwards and that issue never got fixed, at that point Gronk was always injured and was a shell of himself, and their lead guys were Dorsett, Edelman, Hogan, and James White. No other QB could have manufactured top ranking offenses from that group except for Tom. I've always said that TB12 was the best QB by a mile back then, I said that even when Peyton was putting up 55 TD since TB12 was doing it with Gronk and scraps and outcasts on offense, these last few years have just proven my "hot take" from back then that, shocker, the consensus GOAT QB is also the best QB in the league.

This team wastes so many downs that throwing one away almost guarantees they'll have to punt. Now, throwing away and punting isn't necessarily a bad outcome when you're in a close game, or its early on, and you're not failing to move the ball so constantly. But when you haven't scored points in 7 quarters, and haven't scored a touchdown in 10 quarters, well, settling for yet another punt becomes far less appealing.

He also covered up the bounty scandal in NO years ago for which he was heavily taken to task by the league. He paid his price but that's never entirely out of the picture when it comes to his character. Denver would be smart to clean house this year. Joseph is worse than useless. Payton, now that he realizes he won't turn Russell Wilson into a near clone of Drew Brees, will bail on his contract if he has any more years on it (or just walk). Why not can them both and save a year's time in rebuilding?

Brady WAS a system QB for his first 3-4 seasons, but that allowed him to become the monster he turned out to be. System QB’s can improve and become more than that. Brady was lucky that he had a great defense in his early years which allowed him to develop.

I disagree. Bill had just as big of a role if not bigger in winning those Super Bowls. He is a very defensive minded guy that knows how to shutdown his opponents, and uses the rules to his advantage. I hate the guy, but he has always and will continue to be the greatest coach in NFL history.

Just goes to show that BB hasn’t changed with the league. All the newest rules favor the offense. Good defense is now a luxury as good offense is a must have. Build a great offense and having an average defense is enough to win championships now.

I'm not a Patriot fan but watched some of the New Orleans game to see what the hell was up with them. It does seem it is mostly about their offense. The defense doesn't seem bad at all. The offense is just really bad.
