Arrow's damage is calculated by their speed. There are big redstone mechanisms where you use bow and TNTs to launch your arrows so fast they insta-kill anything. And here he used something similar. Knockback from ender dragon head launched arrow against it's core so fast it's insta-killed him. But this is harder to time, than to build large TNT-arrow canon, which is harder to build, but easier to use.

@@creeper_tristethink about it like this: if the arrow is shot at 10 mph, but the player is going 20 mph in the same direction, then the arrow is actually moving at 30 mph. So the dragon just makes the player go at a billion miles an hour and therefore the arrow also is

Well its actually the opposite, arrow speed is also dependant on player speed, the knock back from the dragon makes the arrow basically stay still once its shot which somehow kills the dragon

@@CHAZZRMANno. Arrows going fast are strong. The Dragon imparts tremendous server velocity onto the player because of how close the player is to a specific hitbox on the Dragon. When an arrow is fired, your player velocity is added to the velocity of the arrow. Arrow damage scales with arrow velocity. Arrows have always been the highest potential source of single instance Mc damage cause you can jank them into going really fast and there is no limit to their damage scaling.

this run is actually insane you would need to -hit the cobweb in a way that prevents fall damage but doesn't slow you down for long -have a skeleton spawn nearby -kill the skeleton and get a bow and arrow -get a fast dragon perch -perfectly time the bow shot so it does enough damage all in the same run

@@PiperMCSR I am not really too much in to these speedruns or how many there are but there is a probably speedruns for everything with everything. Wasn't very sure on the rules to add that on either. It's pretty much the first time I watch minecraft speedruns if I have to be honnest.
