The regera has a few electric motors, the design is actually so smart. It combines power of a V8 5 litre and a lot of electric power and one 'adjustable' gear that makes it really fast

it's actually a fixed gear but they vary the RPM: Output shaft ratio using a hydraulic coupling and it is called a KDD (Koenigsegg Direct Drive) transmission/system

To keep it sinple, It has 1 gear torque converter. No gearbox. From 0-150mph power comes mainly from 700hp battery motors. after 150mph it starts to use power from it’s engine. It’s basically Tesla with a 1100hp engine on top

It uses the Electric motors mainly below 30mph but then mainly uses the ICE at above 30mph and it uses a hydraulic coupling that varies the RPM to Output shaft ratio but with 1 fixed gear, it's called KDD (Koenigsegg Direct drive) it is a similar concept to a torque converter but uses a different system to incorporate the electric motors into it aswell

I think it has a CVT. . A contious variable transmission. It's basically a single gear with a changing ratio connected to a torque converter like a regular automatic. I'm not sure because I haven't done any research so if I'm wrong please correct me.

It's actually not that rare of a thing these days. In fact, there are $19,000 Honda's with CVT's. Eventually, the automatic transmission you are probably used to will be replaced by CVT's because they aren't that much more expensive to have. At the end of the day though, nothing will beat the power and control you have when driving a manual transmission.

It's similar to a CVT but its actually in-house made by Koenigsegg. they call it a KDD (Koenigsegg Direct Drive) that allows clutch slip for the electric and combustion units to supply power together. The owner of Koenigsegg bought a Tesla and didnt miss changing gear so wanted to try it. Its not the fastest accelerating hypercar (0-62mph in 2.8s) but once the car revs into the range it doesn't clutch slip anymore it goes like a beast (90-155mph in 3.2s) 186mph in 11s and 250mph in 20s. mental numbers I know. Christian Von Koenigsegg explained how it works in a video years ago, and fun fact the central exhaust tip is not the actual exhaust, it's just for the cooling of the battery, the exhaust tips are integrated into the diffuser, they call it fish tail exhaust

The Regrera is a full hybrid and can run on full electronic mode for 20 miles or so without the need of the engine. The car makes at least 1,500 horsepower and 1,475 pound feet of torque. A good way of putting down this amount of power is by having a single speed fixed gear transmission with a very long reduction ratio like 2.73:1. The engine produces peak power at every RPM only with help from the electric motors. This allows the car to have an extremely high top speed at the top of the Rev range and max torque throughout. It is basically a very effective way that a hybrid system can work.

The trees that you are calling Joshua trees are sequoia redwood trees, but there is a Joshua park that has them where you can walk through. The ones that Bez called Savannah trees last episode are the Joshua trees

It's both electric and a 5.0 L V8 twin-turbo and has a single gear like a Tesla because the man that designed the car bought a Tesla and liked how smooth one gear was so he made it. Keep in mind that the car really uses a single-speed fixed-gear transmission (2.73:1). That's more or less it, he liked the Tesla so he made his own version ^^

Changing gear take time where the is no power going to the wheel as it disengaged.(clutch) However most cars arent like this cos there not Powerful enough to at low RPM to start accelerating

Ok so I have figured out how to get the world record (at least on a hypercar race). You have to fully upgrade the car and then when you do the race just cut through the forest (or whatever other setting you are racing in)
