I love writers that aren’t afraid of giving underrated characters a chance. Well done review bro. I need to get this absolute for sure. Hopefully DC brings it back.

This is probably my favorite DC standalone story and it's certainly my favorite Absolute. Weirdly, the Deluxe edition of New Frontier was much more expensive than the Absolute for years, I'm glad that for you non-Absolute types this wonderful book is available again at a reasonable price point, even if it doesn't have the most impressive eye. Such great extra materials in this one!
Haha “you non-absolute” types! OUCH! I felt sassiness in that one! I agree this is an incredible stand alone story and comic book in general. This is one of the few comics that everytime I read it I come out on the other side so much more happier and hopeful which is always a great feeling when closing a book! Sad we lost such a legendary creator!

I only started collecting graphic novels this year. Starting with Locke & Key: Keyhouse Compendium, which I highly recommend. I did look into DC and Marvel but got bamboozled with reading orders, they are all over the place for a beginner like me and that put me off. So I decided to start with Hellboy Library editions, Black Hammer Library editions (I'm starting to see a pattern here) and The Sixth Gun Deluxe Editions for the simple reason you read Vol 1 then move onto the next volume, that's how I like my reading orders lol, of course the art and stories grabbed my attention too. I recently watched The New Frontier movie and loved it so I've added the absolute edition to my to buy list right next to Absolute Swamp Thing Vol 1-3 by Alan Moore. Thanks for the review, it puts my mind at ease. It will be a great read.
