@@mallerpaintingcompany yes. Anything that screws on and screws off. You'll thank me later. LoL. Had a Ultra Max to try out, the guy had put the tip guard on too tight. I managed to get it off, put some vaseline on the threads... No problem then, on and off dead easy. It also helps to stop paint making them stick.
lol thanks I think I’m probably the first one to own one of these! They just hit the market for purchase on the west coast three weeks ago. I’m probably over doing the video but am super impressed and have a lot of video worthy ideas
@@mallerpaintingcompany you’re definitely not over doing it. I’m considering purchasing one and like all big purchase you want to consume as much info as possible from different creators to get everyone’s take.
@@mallerpaintingcompany since you own both the XT and the quick shot, speaking strictly quality of finish (I’m interested in spraying cabinets and getting professional results) is there a huge difference between the 2 units.
The 490xt is 1.3hp, 495xt is 1.7 hp, 650xt is 1.9hp, 695xt is 2.1hp all with new Xtreme torque motor. It depends what your using it for. If your spraying trim doors and cabinets the 490 is plenty if your painting an exterior per week 495 or bigger would be better in my opinion. If your spraying new construction the 695 would be best, 👌🏻
Do you find the XT to be much better than a regular 490? I just bought a 490 but haven't used it yet and can get the XT for 600$ more. Is it worth it? Thanks
Great question I definitely think it’s worth $600 more you will pay yourself back in the amount of time you’ll save cleaning it. I also think the new technology will make it last longer, Graco is also discontinuing making all the old style pumps moving forward so parts could become obsolete someday
Thanks for your questions. Per Graco specs Xtreme Torque has 15x torque more than traditional motors with 90% lower running speeds extending the life of the pump. Plus 10x more quiet than the old Graco pumps with 6 X faster cleaning with 1/2 the water. I’ll be testing to see if this is all true in the coming weeks
I've got a little 390 and I absolutely put that through it's paces week in week out on new built sites over here in the uk and she never let's me down. I constantly think of stepping up to a bigger pump, but for a machine that is supposed to only run 50 litres a week, I'll often run 300 or 400 litres a week. I'm struggling to find a reason to upgrade if I'm honest. Little work horse that thing.
Going with the Graco 490 xt for my first sprayer. Could you weigh in on what you like better the lowboy style vs stand? In and out of clients house ect Keep the videos comin
Great question! If I had limited space I would definitely get the “stand” version as it’s the smallest footprint If I was mainly using it for exteriors I would get the high boy as it can carry a 5 gallon bucket and roll around the job site best.. I purchased the low boy for myself as I use it for cabinet doors at my shop it’s small but can easily wheel it over close to sink for a cleaning. Hopefully that helps I think I would have been happy with any of the set ups though as it’s still my favorite pump I own and I own over 20 different sprayers lol 😂
@@mallerpaintingcompany I appreciate you taking the time. I did see you had a few sprayers lol that’s why I asked . For the 200 price difference might just go stand and add the hopper kit
Here’s a few of my other videos that talk about some of the features on the new XTs and I have another one coming out soon about the turbo clean feature
