@@TheJurassicSquadYTWhile I do think Xbox players should be able to play Spiderman I understand that Sony at the end of the day still owns Spiderman. But Microsoft doesn’t own Indiana Jones…
I hate console exclusives, but saying this is a huge franchise and shouldn't be exclusive is no different than the upcoming wolverine and dont get me started on spiderman
@@skylarworkman7488 well then they wouldn't sell so much consoles. Have you ever wondered why consoles are priced as low as they are?... they are because they make money on the game sells for thier systems.
@wilk2809privat I understand all of that it just gets annoying when playstation players complain they don't get indiana jones and xbox players complain they don't get spiderman. I'm fortunate enough to be able to play xbox with my friends but have a pc for other things. Here's to waiting for Spider-Man 2 on pc in 2025 lol
@@skylarworkman7488 PlayStation said they won't bring sequels to PC. To try and convince people to buy their console. SM2 on PC won't happen. Trust me. Id love it.
They never got upset Xbox own halo series, because they built it in house, instead of buying another company so that it could release the game exclusively.
@@sungleong isnt spiderman marvel property ? doesnt marvel have sole writes to make spider man comics ? also bethesda made this game on their own with microsoft reasurces . just like how sony made their games also sony made ff 14 a ps exclusive via backhanded deals . so it doesnt make sense why u are dick riding the ps when its a multi billion dollor corporation which has as much dirt on them as microsoft does ,
Let's be real...Spider-Man is infinitely bigger than Indiana Jones and yet we don't hear Playstation fans saying "Oh, Sony should totally make Spider-Man a non-exclusive!" Playstation has their exclusives, and so does XBox. Learn to live with it.
Sony should make spiderman a non-exclusive - A sony fan Haven't seen a fan saying it should be, have seen some weird console exclusive defense for indy tho
They need to work on the names for modern Indiana Jones entries. Like we went from "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Temple of Doom", "The Last Crusade", and "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". To "Dial of Destiny" and "The Great Circle". "Dial of Destiny" is still passable (barely, only because "Temple of Doom" isn't much more inspired) but what's next? "Indiana Jones and the Important Thing"? "Indiana Jones and the McGuffin"? I get that the Great Circle is a concept in archeology, but like c'mon, be creative! "Raiders of the lost Ark" wasn't called "Indiana Jones and the shiny box that can telephone God".
Still waiting for an Indians jones set during ww2 again where he’s looking for yamashita’s gold shortly after the war, he fights imperial Japanese holdouts. And the title could be “Indiana jones, and the search for the stolen gold. It’s more inspired than dial of destiny’s story ngl.
Xbox needs this win. PS has Spiderman, a lot of Marvel projects coming, Uncharted, Last of Us, God of War. Been an Xbox fan since the OG and I'm so excited for this. I wish Sony would help end the exclusivity for any game and bring their properties to us Xbox guys
I don't think this is the major release that's gonna save Xbox, but if it's good it'll probably give a little boost in Xbox sales. I don't think Indiana Jones has nearly as much wide acclaim as something like Spiderman, and the other franchises you named are all Sony built series their own subsidiaries made.
Uncharted? Did they announce a new project for that series? That series was quite final with 4. I know there was Lost Legacy but you can only do so much with spinoffs.
@@stringbeans-e9m I haven't played many first person games but I'm actually really looking forward to this one. I think it will give it a bit more of that hard-hitting feeling of being Indiana Jones
How tf could it be Bismarck? Pretty sure in real life it sank to the bottom of the sea to the east of Britain. And when it comes to Indiana jones they tend to stick with real life events all being cannon. Unless some magical shit pulled it from the depths and put it atop the himilaya’s (somehow) I doubt it’s the Bismarck.
Capturing the spirit of the character is what's important. No modern politics or ideology, just an old-school adventure - and perhaps a way to start to forget that last movie.
So many things shouldn't exist. Like war and murder and depression. If you buy a closed system (consoles) you need to live with its closed systemness. Or buy a PC and get like 80%of both exclusives or emulate them a few years later.
It exists bc it allows console to have a position in the market. That’s like saying mods shouldn’t be a pc thing. There are many ways you could implement that on console but for some reason they’ve never even really tried except Bethesda’s lazy attempt. So as far as I’m concerned, until all the platforms all access the same features equally, then they can keep their exclusive gestures.
Agreed, though it's definitely a good move to get people to get their consoles. Just get a pc, you get the best gaming experience plus the xbox/playstation exclusives.
I agree. Sony should have stopped the locking stuff down as exclusives a long time ago. All games should be available on all platforms and then players can just choose the platform they like best to play games -or- Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft should build a join system both at home and portable and have all games available on them.
I hope this game does well. Indy as a brand has had it rough for awhile and a particularly disastrous 5th film didn’t give the shot in the arm he needed. I think he could have a long healthy life in the world of gaming.
In 2023, a lot of movies failed to make a profit as a lot of movies all came out at the same time, which is never a good thing for the box office. The film did pretty well in terms of both verified audience reviews and most critics, but was a disaster in the box office department. So it was at least successful in 1 area, but I think we need this game for the franchise to fully come back. Indiana Jones really is kinda the perfect character for video games, so I am excited for the game.
Obviously, it's more the fact that this isn't being made by a Microsoft subsidiary, yet Microsoft is still forcing it to be exclusive to Xbox that I think is annoying. Machine Games is their own studio, not owned by either Sony or Microsoft.
@@koolaid33 i keep trying to reply but nothing seems to take. Anyway, Microsoft owns Zenimax which owns machinegames. This is the third time i've tried to type this, so sorry if they all show up.
I am so fucking hyped for the Villain since he is played by Mario’s Gavrilis, a German VA who does so many great Voices (for example Katakuri in One Piece or Denver in La Casa de Papel) and he is so freaking great, can’t wait to see what happens
One small thing, this is set between Raiders and the Last Crusade, only after the Last Crusade tank chase, did he start to wear the bag outside of the jacket, but every shot in the trailer with the bag, it's over the jacket, I know it's very niggly, but it's one thing I don't get, how research would would lead you to not knowing this, still won't put me off playing though, that's my 2 cents ✌️❤️
If the Indy performance turns out to be really good, which so far it seems like it. We could have more future Indiana Jones stories thru the video game format
Playstation players already having great exclusives such as Spiderman, I don't see anything wrong with Indiana Jones being an Xbox exclusive. After games like Starfield and Redfall, Xbox needs good exclusive more than ever.
Nice to see Italian and Japanese enemies in this. I think one of the comic books "Thunder in the Orient" had the Japanese army as the main bad guys. Chasing him all across Asia, I forget what the treasure was.
As a history nerd I hope we get to see historically accurate symbols like swastikas. I know people can find it offensive but this is Indiana jones after all. Who doesn’t like beating up Nazis wearing swastikas anyway?
There’s no way to say this without it sounding weird to someone on the internet… but Indiana Jones is never (and should never be) just defined as: “the guy that kills/punches nahzees” (I intentionally spelled it wrong because you can’t trust RU-vid’s censor algorithm). Looking at Indiana Jones in that one singular light limits the character, as he’s fought dozens of other factions in his time… rival archeologists, traitorous tour guides, Arabic mercenaries, Chinese mobsters, cultists that live in an underground cave, a brotherhood of protective descendants, Nazca Warriors, a Russian military, and many others that I might have missed. I’m not saying he shouldn’t face the blond Germans, but assigning him the description of “an archeologist who punched fascist Germans” really hollows out his potential, and takes away from his archeology… making him a generic hero who only works to prevent the Germans from winning the Second World War. It takes away the fact that he’s just an archeologist who protects and attempts preserving precious artifacts from those who plan to either sell them, or use the artifacts for their own personal gain. Yes the plot of him preventing the Germans from exploiting it works extremely well… but I wish they’d explore other adversaries as well, since it would open up more room for interesting villains/rivals for Indy to face (rather than the same old world domination nahzees).
Don’t lump PC gamers in with Microsoft fanboys, do you think we like having to use Windows? Also Ford is a hard impression to nail, the fact he was able to get so close is insanely impressive.
spiderman is a pretty big series that is locked to just Playstation and pc. Each console has exclusives, everyone's main judgement of Xbox was lack of exclusives so now they got some they're being judged for it?
PlayStation has so many exclusive games, it’s great that Xbox can have one every once in a while. I’d prefer that they just not do exclusives and let everyone play the games on whatever console they have.
I was hoping for more emperors tomb, that was a great Indy Game. But first person will be interesting. Seems kinda like Brothers in Arms where you duck in and out of POV, just a mechanic of the game to get used to.
3rd person is nice because we can see what he will look like in action like it's a movie but you're controlling him. The only time 1st pov is good is for the guns/driving/flying or if someone is into it more then 3rd or both like me.
im a playstation guy, but let them have their exclusives. we have the last of us, ghost of tsushima, god of war, uncharted, spiderman, and so much more
Man there are so many PlayStations exclusives, Xbox recently has been sharing games with PlayStation and received nothing by Sony, it’s only fair we get something.
Same thing that happened with Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is going to happen with this game, cinematics look great, graphics insane, but this is one of those games that need to be played 3rd person to really enjoy the scenery, puzzles, character interactions and all, in this type of games the character needs to interact with the environment for this to be fully enjoyed, same thing that happened with Avatar, not seeing your character interacting with the environment sort of killed the essence of the world they built since what you want to see is a big blue avatar all the time interacting with everything, not just the hands, that's why people think it was just another Far Cry game. Take this Indiana Jones game as sort of an "Uncharted similar experience", those that have played Uncharted know that it won't be the same played 1st person since you want to see Nate jumping around all the time, resolving puzzles, using the rope (that's why the camera changed to 3rd person in this game when using his whip, they want us to see Jones jumping around, why not just make it permanent?) . Game looks great, I just think it would be more enjoyable if you can see Jones all the time, not just his hands and shoes.
Excited? Yes. It is refreshing to finally get a new game that is not largely based on open-world mechanics. But I am just concerned of how much developers and producers like to reveal in their trailers. Now-a-days, it seems like they make trailers that show too much, leaving little for the game/movie to surprise us with. I really hope that this game is long, where we explore plot and locations at a comfortable interesting pace, and explore areas not seen in the trailer. I actually like the games that make you think you are just about to finish the last mission after an eventful journey, only to pull the rug and say "HAH, that's just the halfway mark!" So I hope they put a lot of "Story" into this.
Spider-Man is the most popular superhero in the world by a considerable margin and his games are only PlayStation, so this being Xbox exclusive is more than fair.
Serves Sony right, Microsoft gave PlayStation almost all their current exclusives like Sea of Thieves. Xbox received no exclusives in return from Sony.
How are you getting angry at Sony? They didn't ask, cared, nor wanted any Xbox exclusives, the only reason Microsoft made that decision is because they are in major financial troubles right now (probably because of the 70 odd BILLION dollars they spent on Activision last year). Microsoft made the decision by themselves, this was no agreement, Microsoft wasn't owed Sony exclusives. The Xbox brand isn't selling, so to try and prolong it's death, their just spreading out their IPs to make as much money from them as possible. Judging by Microsoft's reports, by 2028 I don't think they'll even be in the console market anymore, unless they are granted a miracle and suddenly the Xbox Series consoles start flying off shelves.
The point of first person perspective is to put you in the role of the player character- ala Halo. Indiana Jones is a major iconic character whose face is highly recognizable. It doesn't make much sense to make it first person especially considering the asymmetrical nature of an Indy adventure.
