The new Iranian F-14A from the Persian Tomcat event just came out a few hours ago. It's really good. Here's a video of me mowing down an entire lobby with it.
Hearing the missile loadout be called the "United Nations Loadout" is hilarious. That describes it so well. Everyone at some point has supported Iran against everyone else.
The worst part of the grind is War Thunder actually reduced the score per kill... Twice. Started the grind at close to 300 spk. Then it went to 250ish after the first 2 days. Now it's down to 200ish. You now need to play on average 1.5x as many games if you are kill heavy.
I'm salivating at the thought of this thing in sim. I literally get a Fat aim120 (speed wise), a better SARH missile (r27, light, hella fast), and a funny proxy fuse rocket. God, Team B is gonna actually kill itself.
tbh they're likely gonna earn money with it being an event vehicle due to people paying for the 999ge distinctions and the cost it will be on the marketplace, although they're making a bet on it costing a lot on the marketplace

IMO the reason why they didn't make it a premium is that they gave the ability for the ticket of the f14 to be sold on the gaijin market. This is only after you have grinded 750k score. Due to that there will likely be a limited, but desired supply of this vehicle on the gaijin market which requires you to buy gaijin money to acquire. There is definitely more there to unpack, but feel like some people forget that these event vehicles are able to be bought on the market.
4:43 I feel that krill comment. The winter event had me stop playing because of how sick it made me. I probably spent the equivalent of a full-time job grinding for the two event vehicles. Then gaijin had to fix it by making only one event vehicle at a time the very next month.
Out of principle I avoid games that expect me to treat them like a job. It's a game. It exists to provide me with fun. If it tries to take the fun away and replace it with work it doesn't deserve my time.

Hey Aoeilaeiepae, I have about $50 to spend and I want to get a premium jet for usa. Is it worth it to GE the event and then buy the talisman for this jet, or should I buy an actual premium on sale?

Aoeilaeiepae, do you play ground or naval at all, or just air? Btw, since most war thunder players are obsessed with seeing content creators suffer, I have a challenge for you. Play TTAA, and I mean the highest BR possible, but bring planes that are 2-3 BR lower.

Hey Aoeilaeiepae! i got the F14 but i cant for the life of me figure out what radar mode to use and how to lock ppl effectively in a battle setting. it always take way too long so i either dies or the target is no longer valid. Would you mind at some point make a video explaining the radar usage in TTAA? It would be sososooooooo appreciated!
You are my war thunder idol. I just play realistic most of time so i have different strats. I go in arcade and i live but i get like 2 kills cus I’m a wus. You are my comic relief of war thunder
God that guys comments at the start are so funny. "just overall don't know how to fly an actual plane" he says as if does because he flies in realistic instead of arcade, a mode that still uses mouse aim and the instructor. Plus even DCS isn't a good enough simulator that players can say they know how to fly an actual plane
