Great teaching

"The New Jerusalem" and W. Robert Godfrey guides us through the marvelous description of the New Jerusalem-a city filled with the glory of God. (Who IS Jesus!) I believe that: a New Jerusalem is just one of the 7 "News"; that is going to happen on "Judgment Day". And there will be NO New Jerusalem or New Holy City in this world. Even though most of the Christian World believes it is. Sad, but OH, so true. For Jesus: will create a New Earth, a New Heaven that will support a New Jerusalem and New Holy City; IN that New Earth that is also a New Heaven. Then Jesus will cause the Born Again's (form Creation); to be removed of our bodies. And that will leave us; being a NEW Spiritual Being. And Jesus will give us a New Name. And Lastly: an "7th" New Life... AKA: "Everlasting Life" forever. Where we will become ONE with Jesus. As Jesus' Marriage will commence; where He is he Groom and we are the Bride. Amen!

13:45. nope pure gold will look like a transparent glass sir. This Holy City is a literal place and all those were described were literal .. i mean ,you look into our galaxies and our modern telescope had disxovered things that were once unimaginable to us ..

It's all literally described in my opinion! Apostle John would not put those numbers down for others to rationalize it as figuratively. The New Jerusalem will not be placed on this Earth (it's too small for a city that big) but rather a new Earth when the 7000 years are over...

When saying “turn from sins” you are telling people to obey God’s laws to get to heaven. 1 john 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Repent in greek means, “change of mind” not “turn from sins” aka “follow the law” If sin is the transgression of the law then turning from sins would be to obey the law. Here’s an example, if somebody says to turn from the sin of lying. That would mean you need to obey the commandment, “Thou shalt not bear false witness” In Galatians it’s very clear, Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. There is only one way to heaven, and it’s this John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. Faith alone in the Son of God, 1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the gospel, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. If you believe this then Jesus promises you eternal life. But you can’t say you are trusting in Christ alone, if you are also saying you need to “turn from sins” to be saved. Because you’re basically saying believing isn’t enough. Which means you are saying Jesus is a liar and therefore you aren’t trusting Him. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever Believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus doesn’t say, whosever turns from sins and believes in Me has everlasting life. Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Hebrews 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Salvation is a free gift from God, it’s a gift given to those who simply believe the gospel. If salvation is a gift it can’t be by turning from sins because then grace is no more grace. It’s like saying “Here’s a free gift, but it’s not actually free because you need to turn from every sin in your life. (Which is impossible) James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Here’s an example, it’s a good thing to share the gospel with people, so therefore if you should share the gospel with everyone and you don’t then you are technically living in sin. Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. God cannot lie, so if He promises eternal life to those who believe in Him, He will see to it that He keeps His word. Hebrews 6:13-18 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Romans 2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? Thou that makes thy boast of “turning from sins” through sinning dishonourest thou God? Galatians 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

The New Jerusalem is not literally described. To the first-century mind, walls 180 feet thick meant super-security and protection. Today's audience would not understand the meaning of the thick walls because it would take a few bombs to obliterate them. Ancient cities had names on city walls and foundations. They also had guards at gates but we see angels guarding the gates of NJ--again, high protection. The gems described were well-known and typify beauty. Gold streets? Why not diamond? Because diamond mines don't exist in Israel and the first-century Jewish mind would not relate. We can't take the lake of fire and the New Jerusalem literally and then decide that other parts of Revelation are symbolic.

What do you mean God can't make a single pearl gate? Is the whole city supposed to be symbolic? I gave this a dislike. Godfrey and Thomas both have a habit of saying what they think the Bible means instead of letting The Bible speak. God will Create The New Jerusalem just as He said He would why wouldn't He? I miss RC.

I don't trust this man....
