Don’t be too afraid if you’re ever in that scenario or if you see a newcomer in the scenario… it’s a part of the process and it’s honestly best to naturally let them feel the atmosphere and commit as time goes by than they fake it immediately
same for me fr. i used to be quiet and then i started dragging my friends across the floor. i do that to learn people’s behavior, how to act with them, and if i like them though.

literally, like this one kid was kinda new and he joined just randomly cuz one of us let him and after a couple of weeks he became the funniest ones, all of us would laugh our asses off and his laugh was so funny bro, we would laugh so much we would jump and stuff and it made the table lift. Sadly most of us got separated after the school year and we were really close most I knew for 6 years and since I’m moving I prob would never see them again, and I never got there numbers and the funny one left early that day😞

I was that guy at one point. I joined a little friend group right when it was beginning. We grew to have a dozen or so people. They're all gone now. It's just five of us now, including myself. Hold onto the people that matter. They'll back you up through everything.
This was me at one point, I moved lunch tables and sat next to these really loud and funny kids and I was just silent. Over time I started becoming like them
For me, new kid/student are behaving during their first moments with people around them because they don't know if people would appreciate them or hate them, they observe people's behavior first before they slowly show them their own way to create fun memories with the people around the new kid/student.
Relatable ngl 😭 when I was the new transfer kid in my school, I gave out alot of snacks to all my classmates and then became hyper crazy for the rest of the day I was actually an introvert in my previous school cuz I was bullied and left out lol, now I am very happy in my new school
This is always true for me, it happens when i transfer to a different school or when i meet a classmate thays from a friend group and makes me join the friend group, at first, am quiet and dont speak much, cuz i need to know them first for a week or 2, and then i get comfortable and start acting like a true funny friend that makes the friend group laugh. I miss those kind of days..
Bro i literally moved schools this year in a new friend group and now they think im the second most out of pocket person in there and others swear i was there last year cuz it seems so natural 💀
That’s the same thing that happened with me, I joined in 3th grade and some kids who I was a bit friendly with we’re doing jokes on me like pulling my chair away and I got really sad but then they said it was a joke and they wouldn’t do it again and I’m still friends with that group
that was literally me but instead of getting comfortable I just got anxouse and my "friends" never did anything to show they appreciate me instead I was often left out and made fun of and I soon realized they were a bunch of jerks
