@@hz7984 Well, someone else beat me to the punch (click). :) But yes, he's a great player and I really enjoyed looking at the Modern D from his perspective, too.
Thank you for taking the time in recording this extense review. I purchased it when I just read all the things they were ‘fixing’ that other VSTs were failing at. It was an instant buy I don’t regret. The ‘scene’ and detail VSL Synchron pianos bring might be slightly better but all the other important things like the resonance model and especially playability (this is much similar to the perfect Pianoteq in this department)…man, they just nailed it. So a big thanks! Cheers.
Btw: I’m OK with the default velocities. I’m playing a Yamaha U3 SH2 (silent) making the most of the Midi output and I’ve found this VST mostly lineal with my keyboard!
Absolutely wonderful VST, although I'm convinced your playing could literally make any piano VST sound like a million bucks! To me, this is looking to be the new Garritan CFX as far as general--purpose concert grand plugins go, although Keyscape C7 might still have a bit of an edge when it comes to some jazz stuff. Thoughts? edit: also, subbed for the reharm tutorials, incredible stuff man
Thanks for the kind words ;) Yes, there is so much versatility here I will be using it for any and everything. I, personally, am not a fan of Keyscape C7 for playing anything other than legato stuff because of the release samples. I talk about this in my previous "Modern D First Impressions" video. HEYYY Thanks for the sub, man! More reharm stuff coming in the next few weeks. Welcome ;)
Hey Chris- How would you say this compares to VSL libraries? I have the F308 from them, I know the Steinway is a total different beast but from what I hear in your video the D sounds like it's on the same level or REALLY close. I'm looking for something more "contemporary" or "smaller" without spending another zillion bucks! Thoughts? Thanks so much and great video! Subscribed!!👍
@@ChrisCadenhead that's true for sure, I've been using synchron pianos by vsl for a long time, some of them sound super great, but they lack some really essential features like una corda samples, resonances ann such and each of them costs 600$ im broke already😂 i would love to see you dive even deeper into this here modern d, maybe using it in a project, that'll be awesome, thanks for the video ans reply❤️🔥
