I didn't realize this until rewatching the second showcase multiple times but I think it's been confirmed that Grius is also a party member. It's at the part where their showing one of the "Human" enemies where Grius says "Here it comes!" and then it transitions to the battle. After the transition is over you can briefly see Grius in the party lineup and he's glowing orange indicating that he has Archetype powers!

I think it has a cool magitech look that I personally really enjoy. Reminds me of fire emblem engage a little bit, I know that game was rather poorly-received but I think its aesthetics were really cool
