I can't wrap my head around why you chose to release a shorter separate product, instead of adding the modular option to LEROS, which is by far the winner in its class. Why not adding a new feature (modularity) to a winning product, instead of "forcing" a separate (expensive) purchase for just one feature?? I sincerely think this will be your worse selling product, and I guarantee that the modularity feature alone would sell by far more LEROS products overall. Even worse, you shot yourself in the leg with the LEROS-S by taking away the 180 degree rotation (a key feature that makes LEROS a winner) with the awkward placement of that (built in??) handle... Festool got it right with their Planex 2.0 (modularity!!), and it's just a matter of time until they will add the 180 degree head flexibility. When that will happen you will then be forced to rush into matching their success, instead of continuing to look back at them over your shoulder... They even offer the XXL systainer, which is a more elegant way of storage and carry than a bulky big bag... Just my 2 cents... I'm a big Mirka fan, so please don't fall asleep behind the wheel, and make LEROS better and more versatile, by making it modular!!

The light is on the festool is the difference maker for me, wish mirka would put one on theirs cuz I do like the head mobility better but that light is the time saver and translates to money maker.

Hello, thanks for asking! The shorter LEROS-S can be lengthened with an extension shaft that is easily fitted - so you get best of both lengths depending of the job at hand.

@@KWHMirkaLtd ya.....I really love my leros sander, wouldn't give it up for anything else out there....however, if I could make a improvement on it, would be to make it a modular system, were the shaft could be made longer, or shorter,.....easy thing to do I would say....

@@KWHMirkaLtd How far can you extend it ? Would i be able to increase length as far as standard leros? Or any option to use 2 extension shafts?

Too bad the Mirka rep in my area completely dropped the ball....I spoke with him, three times in two weeks and literally said I'm ready to buy, find me someone who's ready to sell. I'm ready to buy, I'm ready to make a long term relationship. Dude couldn't even find me a dealer to sell me $3000 in product and tools. I was very shocked and I haven't revisited Mirka since that experience. I've been a territory sales rep, accounts manager, sales manager, b2b, salaried and commission only. You might get one phone call a year for a specialty tool like the leros with a person on the other end that says to you, I'm ready to buy right now. I also knew way more technical data about the leros, dios and deros than this "outside sales rep". This guy made me a bunch of ridiculous promises like giving me free abrasives and wanting to hang out and take me to lunch. Never even met me, couldn't even close the deal. I have not thought about Mirka since that experience, until I watched this video.
