I have miss Dior 2012 and I refused to buy the 2017 version, when I finally decided to buy it I loved it when I received it and literally 3 days later I found out that there was a new 2021 version, why they can't put a new name on it and it's a new fragance🤯

My 17 year old son just bought me the 2021 version for Mother's Day and I absolutely love it! It's soft and smells floral with a touch of grapefruit to me. I'm very happy with it!! :)

When I made this video it was right up the transition between the old one being out and the new one coming in, so all the stores still had some of them available. But I left some links in the description you can still find it online from time to time
The 2017 was my first Miss Dior fragrance and it worked so well with my chemistry….everyone around me loved it. I was DISTRAUGHT when I went to re-up and found the imposter of a new fragrance. I thought I was going crazy until I went online and learned that Dior did an unnecessary switcheroo. 😩
That’s exciting to see that there are people that are enjoying the newer addition better. I can see that the older 2017 was a lot more syrupy versus this newer edition is a lot more bright. I hope they don’t change it on you, I’ve never seen a fragrance being re-Vamped so many times 🥴🥴
I’m holding on for dear life to my little 2017 Miss Dior 30 mL bottle. Luckily it’s not suitable for every season : winter falls and spring only. Impossible to wear in hot weather. Plus, as you say one spray or two no more and you’re done for the entire day, it lasts forever. It’s a beautiful perfume. 2021 version on the other hand is suitable for the summer.
I have the miss dior 2021 I’m not sure why it gave me a headache when I wore it this summer is it more of a winter scent? Is it supposed to be so strong?

I totally agree with you it was way better than the new one, you can still find a 2017 sometimes online so from time to time keep on checking around. That simple file is hard to imitate the other one to me that seem a little bit similar is also poison girl from Dior but the EDP Which is also no longer found in stores as well you can search online to find it. But that Rich syrupy orange rose combo is hard to find, i’ve seen people selling it on Mercari maybe you can check it out there. Are you looking to stay within the same Rose send profile?
Disagree the new version is very pretty and feminine. The 2017 was not popular because didn’t smell great! I’m glad they revamped! And any perfume that’s spicy can turn out bad

I know that a lot of people were really in love with the prior formulation, obviously those people are not going to be able to continue to enjoy the fragrance. Exciting that this new 2021 version is working out for you, maybe on a sidenote important to pay attention if they are going to do another reformulation any time in the future since it seems to be a habit of the brand, and if you like this version a lot then pay attention so that when it’s time to get a back up bottle you can catch it before it’s gone 😀

I loved Miss Dior, I have always loved it. However I got a new bottle and was thinking that there was something wrong with it. There is almost no smell, it is as if there was water with a bit of the old perfume. I am truly disappointed and want a refund. I do not like anything about this Miss Dior fragrance.
@@Moraima_Buonafede Yes, that was with the new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, a total waste of money, it has nothing to do with the old Miss Dior. I have contacted the client service to let them know and I'm waiting for an answer as I think this change is unacceptable. They cannot sell it under the same name.
I’m sorry that the quality did not come through good enough on your end. Everywhere I’ve tested it and the quality seems OK. The only thing I had a hard time with his video was with the lighting which is why is a little bit yellow but that’s more on the color correction and not necessarily the footage quality. I will try to double check my other videos and see if there’s anything going wrong on our end thank you for bringing that to my attention 🙏🏼
I have 2012 and 2017. 2017 is just made for me. It’s one of my all time favorites. I don’t understand why they just don’t do flankers instead of discontinuing it. I did buy a back up bottle. I also see that dossier has a version of this that I may try
I totally agree with you I don’t know why don’t they don’t just do flankers it’s what every other company does but taking out of the market a fragrance that sells and everybody loves it’s just irrational to me. I payed more for it than I usually pay for perfume ($100+). This second favorable opinion from you makes me feel a whole lot better about it - like I just might have done the right thing! The prior version was definitely loved, I don’t think it’s a bad perfume at all but a lot of people are comparing it to the prior versions. There’s also the big followers that have been using the very first launch of Miss Dior. I hope that they keep it for you since you enjoy it and they don’t ever take it away 😃✨
I found a source that had Miss Dior classic and Miss Dior cherie. It makes it sound like the classic is the older version but I thought the cherie was an older version?
I just bought a bottle of 2017 and I found TWO of my unicorns Miss Dior Chérie 2011!!! I also found the original 2005 MDC so I am done and not buying any of the new releases. Throughout my fragrance journey I just wanted 2005 and 2011 versions because those were my first perfumes ever. My heart is so happy!!!! ♥️

Rebecca you are not the only one there’s so many of us that miss the 2017 edition, I really don’t understand why they changed it. There are still some websites that have it available but for the most part we’ll have to cherish our bottles in our collection until something better comes along
Actually she is so true and i can vouch for whatever she is saying the "la parfam" one is way better than "eau de parfum". Actually in the whole miss dior line this is the only good fragrance. I think everything else is basically not atleast worth the overpriced tag of this brand. Also love "pure poison" "hypnotic poison edt" and for "j adore" as well i have heard lot of good things.
100% agree with you! The 2017 has truly become an addiction of mine..warm slightly spicy boozy vanillic rose..it’s so beautiful on my skin. I’ve been on Mercari trying to find a full bottle of this version. Naturally I purchased a mini on there and got sent the 2021😅 ugh such disappointment. What a shame, brands need to realize their consumers are not stupid by any means and we can tell his is a cheaply produced reformulation! Where did the luxury go?? lol

I literally just smelled the 2017 version at a store. I bought the box sitting right next to the 2017 version BUT when I got it home it was PINK and obviously the new version. I was SOOOO update because I tried that tester over and over again before I finally decided yes I want it. Now, I find out that tester was the old version and its hard to find.. ugg! I haven’t been able to find a Dube however I know you can still get additional bottles of the 2017 edition, I believe the link I left in the video can take you to an online store very reputable where you can get yourself a back up that’s what I’m doing, it’s a special fragments and it’s hard to find something else like it Let me know if that link works for you 😀
I didn’t like 2017 miss Dior. Deep florals typically don’t take well to my chemistry. I’m excited to see if this miss Dior stays pleasant on me. I’ve always wanted to see the bottle on my vanity but could never buy it just to have it sit there .

So I owned miss Dior in 2012. Hated it. 2017 version, smelled like Barbasol shave cream. Lol I gave up on miss Dior. I was wearing hypnotic poison. I decided to try this based on the reviews that it was different then any other ones they’ve had. I love it. On me, it’s a sweet laundry scent. It’s perfect. I absolutely love it. It makes me afraid to love it though because I know they will change it again. I will love her while she’s here.❤️

I remember miss dior when I walk at the mall with my girlfriend and she kind of like it. So I bought it for her upcoming Fall birthday. She was very happy. She request me put it on. I don't know why so I let her apply my neck. She did it gently to press 4 times that radius spray on my neck. I won't forget what she did. It was very good experience😊

I didn’t know if it was going to be useful for people, but given the fact that it’s a Perfume that keeps on being reformulated and they maintain the same name I just figured it would be good to do a comparison. The old one is definitely way better
I’m so upset they reformulated from the 2017 version. I don’t really like spicy perfumes but this one was my first love and intro into buying perfumes like Dior. I bought my last bottle when they released the new one so I tried them both and I’m still not a fan of the new one. I try it now and then when I come across it in hopes that it might grow on me but nope. My boyfriend loves the 2017 version - he says it’s so sexy it’s his favorite so we’re both bummed out to learn that it’s been discontinued. I hope they bring it back or I can find something similar /:

I do too, and it’s such a shame that they did change it but now that they have Francis Kurkdjian as a house perfumer I’m super excited maybe they have something in the works 😉

Why can’t Dior keep all the versions with different names? Indeed it is annoying, same name but every few years replaced it with a new fragrance. That is the reason I try to buy as little as possible, a Dior fragrance.
I can totally understand it’s hard to fall in love with a fragrance knowing that just in a few years are going to take it off the market, it’s not as if they advertise it as a limited edition Fragrance they advertise it as a permanent fragrance yeah they take it away 😔😔
Do you know Miss Dior LE Parfum in 2012 ? and discontinued now , for me is the best version of Miss Dior , very élégant and Classic scent , incredible perfume .

I did a video on this one too! I am a huge Dior fan!!! I haven’t had this fragrance before the 2017 version. So I do love the 2017 version but for me it’s a fall and winter perfume. Very heavy and cloying. I live in Fl so for me this older version doesn’t wear as well in the heat. So when I smelled the new one I fell in love. I can kind of smell a similarity between the two on the dry down. But they are definitely different. I do not agree with Dior to keep doing this. So very annoying. I’m glad you got a bottle of the 2017. I have a big bottle so I will cherish it too! 🥰
Yes I agree definitely for the Florida heat weather is not ideal mainly it’s going to be in the cooler months December January which is not much. I know the weather very well are used to live in Florida not long ago. The new one will potentially do better than this older formulation, but I know that there are a lot of people heartbroken that the 2017 is going 😔

I would most definitely would, they are flying off the shelves so fast. Even the initial link I placed on the bottle sold out in Nordstrom I had to go back to the Internet and do more research so that you guys could have a fresh link. It just doesn’t compare to the old one, the new one is nice like I said on the video but it could be anything and not really special as the other one is glad you were able to get yourself a bottle 🥰

I really liked the 2017 version. I agree if they changed formula and notes, they should just change the name. Even J’adore now is so watered down it doesn’t last whatsoever. I honestly don’t buy any Christian Dior perfumes anymore because the company seems unethical. At least when they had a good perfume Cherie, they just discontinued it instead of fabricating it like they do to the perfumes now.

As a long time lover of miss dior this new change has me furious. miss dior is my scent to a T. I smelt the new version and I cannot connect to it at all, its young, girly, frilly. Not feminine and sophisticated like the original. Such a let down.
You are not the only one Katherine, so many people are feeling the same way, super lead down one more time because Dior keeps on changing such a good fragrance and they’re not necessarily bringing something better to the table. That’s why I put a few links so that people can have access to get themselves a back up before they’re completely off the market.
I own Miss Dior EDT and love it! She’s down to her last juice. 2012 version I believe. I do not like how 2021 included Iris… it’s on the LVEB, The Only one path…

I just bought the 2017 version today. I bought it mainly because it was 30% off but I have tried it before and liked it, not enough to pay the full price though. This is a very lovely fragrance and even though It is is new to me I can not understand why would someone discontinue it. I have tried to new one and it is just a fresh rosy scent, nice but nothing special. Could anyone recommend a fragrance that smells similar to MDior EDP 2017? I don’t think I want to be stocking on more bottles (although I might if the sale is still there).
I honestly haven’t been able to come across with anything that smells like the 2017 version. Which is why I suggest to get some back ups, especially since we’re going to be at a cheaper price now
So to answer your question, the very first time I sprayed the 2017 version I thought it smelled EXACTLY like La vie EST belle! As I had a bottle of la vie EST belle handy I did a side by side comparison, and derived that although they share similarities, they wasn't as identical as I first believed. Still, La vie EST belle is the only perfume I can think of that remotely resembles it - however, of the two I definitely preferred Miss Dior 2017.

I know I wish they brought it back! I think that you missed your is not a bad fragrance, but I thought it would be a fragrance on its own. They could’ve named it something else, and still have it in the collection, already as it is Dior has so many fragrances in the perfume range, why not have one more And still maintain the beauty of the 2017.

In terms of something similar I feel like Dior poison girl EDP is a little bit similar and besides that I have an encounter anything else that is close to that 🥺 Maybe something else is going to come to the market that is going to be similar but at this point I don’t think there’s anything that’s why the best thing is to get some back up bottles they can last for quite a while if you keep them in the box.

I have been using only 1 fragrance for 5 wonderful years and that was Miss Dior 2012. ... December 2017 I reorder once again my precious fragrance ( from discount website) and I received the new formulation 2017 that I did not know anything about at that time. I thought "Hmmm that bottle must be expired 🤔 the color is dark amber instead of champagne the scent smell like la vie est bele with something like stinky watermelon cake or something expired... after 2 minutes of staring and sniffing that new bottle I go and ordered by Dior website my favorite fragrance hoping that if it's directly by Dior ain't gonna be expired or fake but my beautiful baby 2012..... 2 days later I received that SAME DARK COLORED FRAGRANCE 🤨 My hart skipped a beat.... WTF is going on - I 😱 I start researching, emailing 📧, asking, begging " Please François Demachy bring back my love of first sniff, please don't take away the only one fragrance I truly loved " of course he didn't. I found out he changes Miss Dior fragrances every 4-5 years... and in general formulation of others lines like Poison, Addict.... etc.. so I started looking for new fragrance so beautiful and perfect for me as 2012 Miss Dior but 4 years later NO LUCK 😔 I am not going to even sample that new version 2021... why he will change it once again. NO THANK YOU🤚

I don’t like that business method And I wonder if it’s not going to hurt the company because now it’s not like back in the day where clients didn’t have that much to choose from.
