Tbh the Brazil Empire shouldnt be a pan-South American tree. Also, in general the "conquer all South America" seem to be the majority of trees (I think something like only annexing and coring two or three nations and then just some industry bonuses would have been better)

Spain overthrew the Aztecs by "assisting the natives". They allied themselves with several rivals and subjects of the Aztecs who jumped at the first opportunity to see the Aztec Empire burn. The Spanish did the same thing during their conquest of the Incan Empire. Turns out they had really good timing when it came to conquering indigenous empires. Point is that the Spanish allied themselves with natives a lot whenever it was convenient for them, and whenever it wasn't, those alliances tended to go away.

@@cyriellbecause paradox adjust for multi-player only I believe, not sure most hoi4 players are doing multi-player at all but when it comes to YT videos, it is often most viewed than solo world conquest against dumb AI. (so a better ad) So they must make sure to balance so that one South American country doesn't become the world's hegemon just because of some focus. (only if all others players let them of course, but who would let any South American country do that?) They don't do 1 balance for single and 1 for multi because they don't want to split their efforts (like Millenium dawn throwing the 2017 start because only focusing on the 2000 one makes more sense to build a world evolving) and so they just ruins solo for multi.
Chile: Gets a 10% research speed buff from some random focus for indigenous tribes in Chile. UK: Only gets a 7% research buff for it's one focus that represents it's colonial empire & pushing the existing industrial & education system towards assisting the war economy. Makes sense.
Democratic Germany: cannot core Danzig on its own whatsoever. Chile: Can core the ENTIRE western Hemisphere Also Chile: can core the entirety of South America as well as literally continental France The amount of Imbalance in HOI4 is absolutely ridiculous. What I hate most is national spirits like "Finnish Army", "Ejercito Argentino", "Soviet Army". Why have Doctrines and all this Internal Math in this game when stupid national spirits like that just completely bypass any resemblence of combat, strategy and player adaptability?
the negative mods in the soviet trees for example would be better served by inserting fixes into custom doctrines for nations that have issues, but that would take dev time away from creating overpowered meme paths@@niku4154
@@niku4154some of it makes sense for realism and balance, historically, the Soviet army did not have its shit together, while the Finnish had a large marksman history, and things don’t change much in half a decade or less
The funniest part of all of this is Paradox forgot to do something with Argentina. So you sit there with a non-core Argentina no matter what. Releasing it as a puppet doesn't even make an Amerindian puppet state.
I still think there should be a generic repeatable to unlock Research Slots that scales with how many you currently have, once you've grabbed all the ones from your own National Focuses.
When I did Mapuche Chile to get the achievement it took me forever to liberate every american and pacific country so I could core everything. Went for a world conquest afterwards and the Buffs were so crazy that I could EASILY conquer the rest of the world in 1950s without an airforce and without nukes. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
