@@sPaCe_NiNjA187 good on you buddy. I'm in China, PVP sucks for me because of almost always bad connection which is a big bummer, so I'm not that interested in watching all of the patch notes reviews on Elden Ring PVP. But Sheepy is my go-to guy.
These R2 changes are so good. Even if they end up not being the most useful in the end, im just happy they no longer feel like a dead option on so many weapons. The Longsword R2s are so damn fast now, it feels so clean I love it.
The buffed weapons that did not need buffs. I feel like they’re really trying to force people into ugly heavy armor and I don’t wanna look like everybody else copying Steel, G9 and chase. I got caught in a dry leaf whirlwind today and adult 90% of my 1975 HP. Insane and then they bust colossal swords and great katana? Lol insane What should’ve happened is the bus all the weapons no one uses. Boost the armor that nobody wears. Tweak the talisman that no one uses. Buff the spells and incantations and consumables people rarely use.
Sword lance r2 combos from a storm stomp so prepare to see that alot... At this point I don't think colossal r2s are the problem but just how oppressive storm stomp still is.
They definitely needed these buffs though, their main issue after from over nerfed the crouch attack was that they no longer had an intractable attack that they could use the mix up with the other attacks and their r2s couldn’t even rollcatch backwards rolls bc they were too slow. Now they seem to be more competitively viable which is great!
All these years, I was strictly a PVE player never touched PVP in my life and every time I saw Chase bro or any other creator talking about Moonville I never understood why because I absolutely loved that weapon but now that I put probably about 150 hours just in PVP after the DLC I can confidently say my God I hate that weapon so much literally it feels like zero frames start up for that ash . Literally every time I see it in the Colosseum I would say 99% of time that's all they use L2 and not once using the katana
@@HiroThatDude haha yeah it’s the bane of every pvper’s existence. If they reduced the stun on the projectile again it would be in a much better spot imo
Have you messed around with the Fire Knight's Shortsword/Erdsteel Dagger R2 yet? I already loved that heavy attack, but the speed buff made it even better. Especially on the FKSS with all that extra length. I run it with Drawstring Messmerfire Grease or one of the AOWs that gives a fire damage buff to take advantage of the natural fire damage, it's one of my favorite weapons in the game now.
I don't know if it's just my imagination, but the Nagakiba 1h r2 feels a little bit better than the 2h r2. I've been messing around with a Nagakiba and various offhands in the arena tonight (dagger, Dane's Footwork, etc), it feels really good!

strangely the patch notes don't mention anything about colossal weapons, but I've already seen some videos saying they at least buffed the crouch R1 on them... not sure if neutral R1s and/or R2s too...

I just looked into it and it seems to be bugged on mobile for iOS, the work around would be to open my channel page in safari, click the little font button (Aa) next to the URL and hit "Request Desktop Site" then it should load the desktop version with the "Join" button next to the "Subscribe" button. Honestly this patch feels like the most 2 steps forward 3 steps backwards bandaid fs has brought out. Claws of night damage not adressed. Buffed moonveil again after several nerfs. Essentaly bhb is practicly at the same state when the dlc came out. Cant figure out if dualspears should be good or not. Gave new tools to gankers while taking away 2 other tools from us reds. We cant close off invasion locations. No fixing tt not fixing the scaling on olps no 5 or 6 playerlimit for more diverse gameplay other than facing constant 2 or 3vs 1. But hey at least we can play and experiment with heavy attacks b4 the dread kicks in again. Thank you miazaki for screwing dedicated reds over to make 500% more profit than darksouls 3 ( love the content tho )
@@Kaiserredbeard lol yeah… I fear the core issues with ER multiplayer will not be addressed in future patches. I do enjoy the balancing changes but my hopes aren’t high that they’ll introduce any quality of life changes for invaders
the absolute cope of the pvp community is truly remarkable. i think we all know that ER PvP will always just be an afterthought and will never resemble anything competitive. i understand you're just keeping up with the content creation, but this is just so sad to watch.
I love when people act like it’s some great revelation that souls pvp is not balanced for e-sports. Like yeah bro no shit. Doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate it for what it is and the changes the team does decide to make.
@@GetBodiedSon the revelation came when we found storm stomp in the network test, what are you on about? DS3 has fantastic balance, multiplayer systems/covenants and a general frame data philosophy that the ER team just completely threw in the trash. you can have all the fun you want, I'm just pointing out the insane levels of cope this community deludes itself with every time a poorly translated patch is dropped.
