@MrLawson ... quite the contrary today.... What you are saying might have been a little true during their 207, 307, 407, 607 time ... back when VW actually made really good cars. These days are long gone my friend. I just recently drove a VW T-Roc R. Worst car i have driven in a long time. Best rentals i had abroad exept Peugeots were a Ford Puma Hybrid with S Trim and not without fault but also ok a Kia Xceed. I have driven this 408 myself as i am looking to replace my 2011 308 SW in the next few years. Not for any mechanical reasons as it is still running as smooth as on day one but because the new 408 not only looks good but feels as Premium as an Audi S Trim inside. Only less boring while being more intuitive. The customizable quick toggle bar is the perfect remedy for those few deeper level settings you might need rather often. Leather Stitching was top notch in mine and the massage feature set of the seats was truly impressive. Good choice Greg, especially the sun roof. Enjoy your nice car and ignore the envious "I only drive German cars" crowd.
These are a great car, mine was the 2nd one out of the showroom last year, the 1.2 isn't too bad an engine but it could have done with having the 1.5 diesel as an option which would have suited it better.
