@@loganedmonds9801 They just have great chemistry together as content creators, and you can tell they literally growing off each other in terms of growing as content creators in terms of comedy lol
I think it cost money and still developing because it has a solo developer and it seems focused on mini games for now and not quite finished developing the board game side. but the idea of it all looks cool and worth the pay, as a solo dev game he did great.
Thanks for pointing this out :) There's a lot of work still left to do, and development has been very bumpy after launch due to some serious personal/life problems, but I'm getting there slowly but surely.
Wow!! That was amazing!! Thank you squirrel for the content. 😁 Pummel party + metal music + my favorite crew. all my favs. 😎🤘 please play more of this! I was enjoying the game!!
Yeah, sadly the board game is super buggy still, but I'm getting there slowly. There's still issues with latency in mini-games (in particular, ones with lots of moving parts like Cognitive Collection, Blue Ballin' and Dodgy), and the dreaded "Blasted" crash of doom, but would love to see a mini-games only vid :)
Toonz got that fiber internet to be flexing on everyone with virtually no latency on a good connection, hell as soon as my place gets fiber, Imma be flossing on those in the fighting games I deep delve into. Won't be able to say I only won due to lag (then again I wont be able to say it either lmao) but pure skill lol
Some of the music in the board part of the game reminds me of Driven to Destruction or Eve of Destruction as it was called in the USA, game looks good though
Love being the top ten comments. I’m hoping he will see the encouragement comments. Such a cute kiddo! I’m happy for you and your journey with what you love. It’s what I teach my boys all the time. Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. My oldest son now owns his own business for two years and just got promoted to Lt. in the fire department at the age of 22! Keep up the great work and always be happy and smile!
Almost on the money there ;) For most tiles, it adds 2 seconds, but for ones where you have to jump over obstacles, or if it's further away, it adds more time to compensate for the difficulty of reaching the tile. It needs more tweaking, but it holds up well enough for now.
Right!? I was so sad, it's a common bug that keeps happening in that particular mini-game. It has been in the game for MONTHS now and I just cannot reproduce it in my tests, even with my community. This is the first time I've actually seen it happen with an error, so with any luck, this video may help me pin point the problem and fix it up so that these guys can do the Trivia and Boss fight that would have happened if it didn't crash.
Takeshi's castle is a bit of an influence :) But I ended up going for a more traditional Mario Party style. However there will be obstacle course type mini-games or game modes in future ;)
They didn't understand squirrel didn't get any movements on his screen during that red light green light games haha literally nothing showed up haha. This game might be decent if it's fixed but I can't believe this got released and they charged for it. It's badly broken.. :( seems like they spent their budget on graphics and didn't come up with an actual goal or storyboard lol ❤️🧡💛
that is a LOT of games anymore. They would rather release for greed than actually put up a working game. The fact it says it is in early access is sad.
I have been known to be extremely greedy, my bad. But the good news is that I love my solo developed game with minimal/no funding, so I'm going to continue working on it so I can turn it into one of the best party games out there, because yeah, right now, it isn't, but that motivates me to do better :)
$0 spent on graphics, that's just Unreal Engine 4's beauty. All assets are custom made, and the game is self funded with some help from Epic Games. The reason nobody got prompts on that mini-game was because Cartoonz chose "Survival mode" which makes the buttons invisible and turns it into a guessing game haha. There's a lot of bugs for sure, but I'm getting through them, one bug at a time. "The only good bug, is a dead one!" ;)
@@MetalHeadsGame Being a solo dev must be very difficult, as life is never fair to good people, but the fact you are still wanting to work on it and make it a great game is fantastic! Keep your head up! You will get there! Fantastic work so far, cant wait to see how the game is after its finished! :D
@@alpha_vampwolf1778 Thank you for the kind words and understanding :) Life is just life, it throws us curveballs all the time, we just have to keep on moving onward and upward and doing the best we can every day, even when sometimes it sucks. Thanks to content creators and fans who play the game and encourage the development, I feel more and more motivated, driven, and energized, despite my personal circumstances being not so great after the launch of the game, and even now (online predator/narcissist basically swept my life out from under me at the moment that should have been joyous, and did the same to those I love, and is continuing this abuse to the ones I love).
Yeah, and depending on the difficulty to reach the tile, it will generally add +2 for an easy to reach tile, but if players have to jump over gaps etc, it will add more time +4 or +6 for example to the timer. However it requires a fair bit of tweaking, as there are some more difficult areas (like the top of the map) where players are in a panic trying to jump over the slime, and they end up falling in.
Indeed it is. You can try out the demo for it if you want to try it out without paying. It has about 10 mini-games in the demo, so even the demo will keep most people busy :)
Because us solo or indie game game developers are greedy money grubbers who want to steal all of your moneys :) In all seriousness though, generally, developers like myself are self funded, or can't or don't have a publisher or any kind of external funding, so we release games into early access for those who wish to support the development, but don't want to wait until full releease. Sadly though, there's a lot of developers out there who use Early Access to make a few dollars before abandoning the game, starting up a new company/business, releasing another half baked game in Early Access, make more money, abandon the project and so on, so Early Access tends to have a bad name. There are quite a few game devs out there doing the right thing though, but that doesn't really remove the bad taste that gamers have from early access developers who take your money and run. Putting it bluntly though, it does boil down to needing funding and support for the game, some devs are working 2 day jobs, and working on their game, just to survive day to day, due to rent etc, and are struggling to survive, pushing through burn out every day. My retail day job pays me better in a weekend than Metal Heads does in a month right now, so development is very slow. Hopefully this makes sense? But I can totally understand why you would ask this ;)
@@MetalHeadsGame Haha.. Not all games started out gold, games like Warframe and so on became what it is now because of their dedication. Its shitty for sure but keep working on it, because soon who knows?
Pummel party needs to buy this game from this developer and apply their game to it and make pummel party 2 with these graphics and map styles and some new ways to damage each other and everything cause this is a dumpster fire right now, I'm glad you guys bought it to show us how it is so we don't waste money atleast right now haha
