The new rooftop tent setup. Retractable tonneau cover w/ ladder rack 

You clever rascal! In your previous videos I told myself “I can’t give up my tonneau cover for that tent setup” and here you find a way to have both. I didn’t know they made retractable tonneau covers.

What a great setup!

I have a Bak revolver rolling hard cover on my power wagon. My putco bed rail kit with cross bars gives me 12 inches of rise from the bed rail for me to roll the cover back on top of the bed.. I don't loose any bed space this way. With my free spirit V2 tent it sits below my truck roof line. Much quieter and better MPG keeping the tent below the roof line.

Pretty cool stuff man. I’m laughing how, at first, with the instructions, you were ready to go scorched earth…. 10 mins later (3-4 hours your time) it turned into “I am SUPER happy with my choice” 😂. The magic of editing. I’m happy for you man! Keep it up!

Looks like a great setup. I hope the cover does not leak. I have a different brand but it's retractable It is leaked from day one.. I pretty much just keep everything in storage containers. This way nothing gets wet with the container. Can't wait to see what the tent looks like. I may do this setup myself.

After about a year, it won’t automatically retract anymore. That’s usually about how long they last for then you have to push it back manually.

Hey Brian, now that is looking sweet! Those tonneau covers sure have come a long way since I had one on my old Ranger. It was canvas, flopped in the wind, no way to rain out, etc… This one looks to be good one. Between you, Crazy Quady, and TJ over at Kayak USA, all I can do is sit here and drool over the toys. 🤪🤪😂😂 Great job to you all! Thanks for the great vidz. Well done. Will be waiting on the crossbars and final setup vid.

That cover looks nice and should be very functional for you. I had a Retrax retractable tonneau cover on my F150 and the lock would freeze on it making it impossible to retract it. You don’t have to really worry about that in Texas like I do in Ohio

Looks good. Hopefully, the missing crossbars don't have to make a waterborne trip on a slow boat from...well, you know. Makes you wonder if these companies have any type of QCI (quality control inspection) before the items are shipped.

I love this one but I am worried about losing too much space in my F150 short bed with that mechanism

i have a hard tri fold cover which prevents having a tent topper. But this is perfect. I see the link for the cover how about the tent rack? Very nice Update found the rack as well. You da man! Looking for other options I have a 2012 which Bestwyll isn't compatible.

Im wanting to get the this truck rack but I haven’t found any specs on the mounting holes for the base. What’s the measurement from the inner mounting hole of the base to the inner edge of the base?
