The New Roster That Mario Party NEEDS!

4:52 Actually, Bowser is a main party member, just like the rest of the cast shown here (alongside Ninji). Not only do we see him playing in multiple side modes within the trailer, but it is also confirmed that you can play as Bowser on both the "King Bowser's Keep" and "Mario's Rainbow Castle" boards. If you zoom in to the starting area of both of those boards, one of the characters about to start the party is Bowser, even despite a larger Bowser being a main board gimic at the same time. So, it is clear that 2 Bowsers can be on screen at once.

I would be so happy if Nintendo put any Super Paper Mario characters in a Mario Party.

I hope they at least add Diddy Kong, Pauline, Hammer Bro and Dry Bones. Those characters are missing. Every other character we get feels more like a bonus.

I’d call Boo one of the main cast by now not just in Mario party but Mario spin off in general he’s most often (besides Mario kart) playable alongside all the big names and I love it he’s one of the core gang in the franchise to me. Boo is awesome!

The reveal trailer confirms that the player as Bowser is playable on both King Bowser's Keep and Mario's Rainbow Castle at the starting area of both boards. You'll noticed that purple aura on the NPC version of Bowser which helps differentiate the two.

"CUSTOMIZATION" is the topic that would work so well for the Switch 2 gimmick. Themes and stuff on Switch 2. Mario Kart X having costumes and more customization in karts, etc. Super Mario Party 4 (Jamboree is 3) having costumes and satisfy rpg characters (goomba would have goombella and goombario. Boo would have king boo, Lady Bow Boo, Pink Boo, etc). I for one am hoping for Dry Bones, Pauline, Blooper, and Diddy Kong. Would love to see Luma, The Sprixies, and Prince Florian as characters.

Something I'd like to see, though I doubt it'd happen, is lesser known Mario villains. Count Blech, Cackletta, Dark Queen, Cursa, etc.

4:52 - I think it's too early to say that Bowser isn't a party character. There seems to be some evidence that he is (one of the screen shots seems to show him on a board, although it's blurry) , and I have yet to see evidence that he isn't.

I think we should simply get a Mario Party dedicated to the crossover aspect rather than it being shoehorned into Jamboree. I'd call it "Mario Party All-Stars" where we get the Superstars roster along with some Zelda, Kirby, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon Characters. Each series gets their own board except Mario which gets two.

If this is marketed as the biggest Mario Party then it should have the biggest roster.

Well, at least Spike made a return in the trailer of Mario Party Jamboree so far, since his last appearance was in Mario Party 10. Also, at least we got a new character though, which is Ninji who last appeared for the record Mario Golf Super Rush. Other than that, we'll see about that, because I personally wouldn't count on more characters being added for Super Mario Party Jamboree, but I can say for CERTAIN that Nintendo would be willing to expand the roster if they are in a mood for it.

Slightly related, but I'd really like another attempt at doing costume variants of the characters to match board themes even if you could only do hats or for 1 special unlockable board.

I'm not sure we will really get all of those, but the new roster looks really good and exciting so far, and I'm sure, or rather hope, that we have even more characters to it. They might not have shown every character we start with yet, and there will very likely be some goos secret charcters for certain, I think.

Possibly like how there used to be koopa kid spaces back in GCN Mario Parties perhaps there could be a Koopaling space where a random Koopaling shows up and an event occurs depending on which Koopaling shows up.

People want Paper Mario characters but the only character that's likely is Paper Mario himself.

Super Mario Party Jamboree seems to have a teams thing going on with Mario's team and Bowser's team. But thinking about it they could have created two other teams a Wario team and a Donkey Kong team and have them pull from their games. in place of Mario and Waluigi for Team Mario is where they could put Geno and Mallow for some RPG rep. As for Team Wario it would be Wario, Waluigi, Captain Syrup, 9-Volt, Mona, Ashley, Jimmy T., Princess Shokora, Queen Merelda. From Team DK it can be Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Cranky Kong, Dixie Kong, Baby Kong, Funky Kong, Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong, Chunky Kong. That would be a lot of fun if they did that and a good way to give us more characters. By the way the reason for 9 is because if you include Ninji as a part of Team Bowser and subtract DK, Wario and Waluigi from Team Mario those two teams are reduced to two teams of 9. So I went with that number

honestly, out of every characters said in this video, i think i love Anthasma the most. first the Mario and Luigi series is making a come back so it's fitting in terms of timing, and since there seems to be a VS. bowser mode in the trailer, i think it'd be cool to unlock an antagonist from another game. and honestly, i just think it'd be cool. plus he has a sick design.

I remember distinctly on the “Boo’s horror castle” board in Mario Party 9 there’s an event space near the end of the board where a Scaredy Rat steals the ministars from all the players and begins an escape down a corridor, tasking the players to catch up and steal their stuff back The rat had full dice hitting and space moving animations, despite the fact that 9 was one of the Party games with the car Ever since then I’ve held out hope that the Scaredy Rat would someday be playable in something

And finally... Rayman. Because he already officially had a crossover with Mario, so at this point, why not?

I love Kirby but get him out of here. If I want to play as him I'll play a Kirby game. What I like about the Mario Party series is the chance to play as obscure Mario characters that usually never get a chance in the spotlight. Glad to see Ninji getting his Mario Party debut! Some characters I think would be cool to see are some of the Super Mario Odyssey characters like the Tostarenans or the snails from Bubblaine.

I feel like now more than ever is the best time to get more experimental and interesting with Mario game rosters. The RPGs are making a comeback, the games and even the Mario movie have all sorts of refs to more obscure characters, and 1 or 2 guest characters I could handle as a way to show love to another series. Although Mario Party is probably the Mario sub-series I expect to drag its feet on more interesting character picks the most lol. This series feels like one of the more smaller scaled and budgeted Mario ones. Reusing a lot of existing models. So I can excuse this one for not being t o o crazy with the picks. But characters like Pauline, Nabbit, Odyssey NPCs, etc should be more than fair game by now.

First and foremost- Bowser’s situation in this game is WEIRD and I do not fault you for being confused. People have, however, noticed him in shots briefly on the main boards playable. And it’s easy to overlook, but Bowser is playable in some of the mini games, which would be weird to let him show up for mini games but not the boards. So he’s probably fully playable and the big Bowser we see looks like a Bowser clone Kamek whipped up. As for your suggestions, a lot of them are really interesting picks! Like, I don’t expect many of them since Mario Party has been pretty consistent with being conservative with their representation of the Mario universe, but I’m super down for the off the wall picks. Like, I’m expecting Pauline and hopeful Diddy Kong makes a return, and I’d like to see Blooper return since he’s a goofy little guy. Hammer Bro, too, since those two were a great pair in 8. I can’t really see them using Princess Shroob or Antasma since they just don’t strike me as fitting the vibe of Mario Party. Any other Mario RPG characters would definitely be fun to see, though. Mallow and Popple in particular really seem like fun choices. And I think crossover guests would be fun. Olimar is one you really missed out on given how connected Mario and Pikmin have been in the past. Anyone but Link as far as Mario Kart crossover characters though, since Link also doesn’t feel like he fits the vibe, but like… less so. I could see it happening. Overall, plenty of interesting ideas, and I’m all for Ninji and Spike, so I’m super down for more weird picks that get even weirder. Also, DK themed board where K. Rool replaces Bowser for the board events would be fun. It’d be more fun if he was playable, but that’s just a fun mix up they could do. Also also, Foreman Spike. After the movie, it’d be fun to see him more.
