But what is Nairobi Street Kitchen or NSK as they call it? Apart from the neon lights, restored vintage cars and art murals everywhere NSK is 11 different food booths and cocktail bars for you to discover. Authentic Mexican tacos, handmade noodle bowls, ice cream, woodfire pizza, vegetarian Indian food, burgers food truck, café with fresh pastries, chicken dishes from all around the world, wine bar and some delicious cocktails on two different floors including a rooftop bar!
Talking about great cocktails, the entire cocktail menu was built to tell a story. The story of a Nairobian, working a busy office job and wanting to go out on a Friday and have some fun. (The story is worth a read and is available in this food vlog at 3:21)
And just to prove to you how cool Nairobi Street Kitchen is well, the location was used to film the latest music video of Sauti Sol, for the new song Rhumba Japani featuring Bensoul, Nviiri the Storyteller, Xenia Manasseh, Okello Max and NHP some big names in the African music industry.
