Herbie Hancock
1995 was the year and Herbie Hancock was treating a number of songs from contemporary culture as if they were jazz standards. In a world where pop was “off limits” by some in the jazz community. A jazz legend himself knew all music was up for reinvention. Did he pave the way for others to move down the road or just open a temporary cut through? Let's dig into our real thoughts on the album. Again we are joined by our little bro for this conversation. Hang tight and find out what happens.
After just a year into listening to jazz music we are still enjoying the challenge of a weekly album and love how much we learn along the way. We thank everyone for the great feedback both in the comments below and in text, emails, and in person. We hope to gain more knowledge and appreciation for jazz music as we go and are excited to share our new found love of jazz music with you.
