The New Steam & Steel Mod Update is AMAZING! 

The greatest thing we lost in modern Total War was the ability to make mods like this. Think what could have been achieved with modern titles if CA weren't literaly threatened by the talent and dedication of modders. Mods for Medieval 2 are outperforming modern TW.

Medieval 2 released in 2006, and its expansion in 2007 - in 2004 you had Rome: Total War released.

Settlements fine at the front atleast you missed the gate at the front of the city you can blow it open and go through it. Good vid u should play as one of the Japanese factions

With the ram, are you not able to destroy those small pallisade looking walls on the outside of the settlement? If not then honestly settlement battles in this mod just aren't possible yet. Looks extremely impressive though.

Austria-hungary was created in1867 and Franz Joseph was also crowned king of hungary that year. Also thats the civil ensign but at this point its the defacto flag of A-H so im okay with it. Hope the devs will fix these huge historical inaccuracys.

This mod should have been done for Empire or Napoleon TW, but I guess Medieval 2 is less demanding and easier to mod.

Yea i just randomly looked up medieval 2 mods for some reason and this popped up on a video as one of the top mods to download.. so i did... man this mod is probably THE best one. I started a campaign with the united states.. bro the music is dope....especially the violin jam... bro this is probably one of the greatest mods i have ever played and im an arma dude... only thing is it crashes for some reason around year 1869 or if you fight more then one battle late against the confeds it crashes for some reason so hopefully its figured out soon.. just a heads up. idk if its just the united states cause thats all ive played as, but once you start fighting the confeds thats when my crashes occur as thats the only faction i challenge to keep it historic. word of advice attack them immediately because they are weak as hell... but richmond will fool you, thats where they keep the main force, and beware of confederate troops roaming around the mid east, large armies as well, so when you attack make sure you have a full force. when your sieging make sure you have AT LEAST 2 cannons.. they do damage... and when you siege the reason you cant find an opening is because the gates are tucked in and when you spawn to begin dont leave that area as thats where you need to attack, and like i said make sure you have at least 2 cannons. thats all you really need. 3 is coo but 4 is pushing it. also the shooters have range... no lie. so be prepared as soon as you enter the fort. it goes down lol. im writing a novel here but this mod really is the izzzz.. but hopefully you dont experience the same crashes i am or if you do they or you find a solution quick..

The map and the nations look great, but everything else seems pretty lackluster.

I downloaded I tested and uninstalled, so much was worth the attention of this mod, besides that it crashes the game when selecting the Confederacy, and the usa all is top occupied by unie....dramat, these are very big historical unrefinements
