Horween is a definite upgrade for any wallet as far as the leather. I've had interest in getting a notebook wallet for some time oh, this one is on top of the list, especially with horween.

The War of Wallets rages on. Trayvax's commitment to wallet innovation and relevance shines in this iteration of the Summit Notebook wallet. I like both versions but would opt for the newer one if I had to choose. The Summit Notebook wallet is not minimalist, in my opinion, but an excellent product nonetheless for those who don't mind adding substantially more weight to an already weighty Armored Summit Wallet. It made more sense to have the notepad on the right. They should have stuck to the top bound notepads and not stitched across the top. The binding of the new notepad is why it won't close. It needed to be bound as two or more signatures with a squared of end.

Great review as always, but the notebook being on the left seems weird to me (and thats coming from a lefty). So far my Dango Dapper Pen Wallet is still in the lead. You introduced me to Dango btw :)

Great review! I have one of these, and I really like it. I don’t use the notebook, so I use that inside pocket for my cash. Honestly, there isn’t really a Trayvax wallet I don’t like! 👍

Ooooh, I don't know. The new version has a better look, but I'm not sure about the new card retention strap versus the old pocket; and, the money clip being exposed on the back like that would worry me on the rare occasions that I carry cash. I hope you find time to do a long term carry and review on this one, to see how those work out.

I bought so much Trayvax gear, trying to love it and I just don’t 😞 All the exposed metal just annoys me. As for the new version you showed us, they’ve now moved more metal outside of the wallet by moving the strap to the outer. Then they deliberately stitched the notepad side up at the top so you have to buy new books for it. That ain’t cool. They could have left it open so we can use our old books. That’s not good. As for Trayvax wallets, I love the idea, I always want a notebook, the Spacepens are cool, however I’m into leather wallets now. Maybe one day, like Arnie, “I’ll be back.....” Thx for the great comparison 😂🙂
