The title implies they were anything other than broken for the last few years Also I hardly think it matters how the M107 can one shot or to what range when the movement and reload speed is atrocious and the recoil is so high you can’t fire it effectively anywhere near 250 RPM

M107 fix the m107 is known for its fire rate and high damage, it is however an anti-material rifle rather than an anti personnel rifle, one thing about the m107 is that is inaccurate at super long ranges, give the m107 a 1 shot torso all ranges. but also give it some choke, this will make most long range encounter's inconsistent. if this is still to overpowered: give the m107 its one shot torso all ranges but have the torso multiplier only work 50% of the time, again creating inconsistency in theory the inconsistency will have pro players steer clear of the gun and anybody that prebuys it will be less of a threat as they cant kill most of the time while also reserving's the m107 abnormally high fire rate and high damage (being able to walk faster than a snail would also be nice)

i like the barret changes. it should be OP its high rank and its a 50 cal. i personally dont mind it. Yeah it can 1 shot close range but you can do that with a Model 970 or Ks3m and it would be easier.

M107 doesn't really have a place in anyone eyes before the buff tbh, it's slow, it's heavy and can't 1 shot torso all ranges like other 50 cal did before, it took forever for the recoil to reset to be useful at most ranges. You missed at long range and punished extremely hard for it, while there's better options for both close and long range like SVDs, Hell.. even WA2000 works a lot better than M107. There's just not enough reason for M107 to be used over any sniper because every sniper can do what M107 did, if not even better than the M107 itself. M107 can't 1 shot at close range? Too bad, There's more than few alternatives to it, Can't double tap at ranges fast enough? You have SVDs and WA2000. You say just hit the head with it? Good luck compete with every other sniper, because it ADS very slowly. By the time you get a stable aim on your target, you'll be running out of breath because skeleton grip penalties makes you running out of breath faster, topped with worse recoil on top of already worst recoil, and if you're running anything else, especially HERA CQR, you're basically cripple yourself because it's the opposite of what skeleton grip does, trade mobility (Run,Walk,ADS,Etc) for more stable scope sway/more breath, but you'll be hard scope for the rest of the game.

M107 should 1 shot all ranges i mean imagine surviving a literall ANTI MATERIAL RIFLE. Also it was never meant to be used as a sniper its primary targets are lightly armored vehicles and fortifications,also theres no possible way of running around and sliding with that gun 15.8757 kg of weight??

I think the M107 change is better now because the BFG and Hecate both have 1 shot torso regardless of range, whereas the 1 tap torso at 250 studs at least means you can't be fully crossmapped, even though it's a 50cal...

Well, AWM (No AWP conversion) Needs to be reverted back to 55 RPM for it to be closer to these buffed snipers as AWM as of the 5th April 2024 is at 45 RPM and AWP needs same ammo reserve as AWS as it makes no sense that AWP has way less reserve than AWS and it has a slightly slower RPM at 64 vs 69.

If cqc 1 tap is too op for the m82 id say we revert to the gyrojet style damage,that was actually decent imo

btw the k14 is a bit better with short barrel. your 1 shot torso gets like 5-10 studs farther and the only real downside is the velocity, which is doesnt matter when used for a cqc sniper

if they're gonna buff everything, they might aswell give the aa 12 the ability to combine the 20rnd drum mag and birdshot (joke)

Finally, Stylis has listened and started using overpenetration-style damage graphs. They're FINALLY doing something with the game to make guns balanced. Edit: They're going to have to buff every other torso-killing sniper that is slower than the Mosin now to around/past it's range. Edit 2: If the M2011 is gonna compete with the alien, might as well give it a 2.5x headshot multiplier to keep it's original niche.

M107 is 50bmg rifle. Of course it needs to one shot torso in close range. Only thing I don’t like, 10rnd mag is good now.

Definitely like the current state of the test place right now (at least most of it because it feels a little wonky), even if they haven't fixed the broken spawns at least the changes they're making outside of them are good like being able to unbind vaulting. M107 buff sounds overkill, giving it back what made it OP before and barely toning down the changes made to accommodate for the lack of torso killing up close would just make it better than ever?? Need to try it more and maybe wait for a detailed changelog for all the smaller changes to see if it's going to be as overpowered as it sounds, but from first impressions it seems too strong atm (why is extended mag fast). I won't mind this change (m107 prebuyer) if the other overpowered guns don't get any nerfs as everything would be OP eventually by the way things are going except for some unchanged guns being wholly outclassed for a while Still think it was fine as is before the sweet spot mechanic, as it was catered towards long ranges and had bonkers suppression which was funny until .416 got changed. If we’re being real here, the M107 pre-buff was unnecessarily situational. Sure, it could 1-hit torso out to a good range before with a sweet spot and semi-auto, but any closer and you’re beat by the .50 cals (and just about any other sniper, really), and at longer ranges you were beat out once more by the other .50 cal offerings. It wouldn’t be nearly as egregious if the recoil wasn’t so damn atrocious. Even if that balance took the opposite approach to how the M107 was before its sweet spot behaviors, that being its gyrojet damage profile where it didn’t 1-torso until a certain range and didn’t stop doing so ever, I honestly still prefer this over its unnecessarily situational performance we have now. As for the Springfield in particular, I use Maxim Silencer and Armor Piercing together not just for the 1-hit torso kill range (MS + AP is actually slightly worse than with just the Silencer), but also because it deals more damage to the torso in general, meaning it’d be easier to finish off enemies weakened by regular gunfire if you miss a headshot. That said, if you want to run a suppressed sniper rifle in general, just run R2 Suppressor and Tracerless together. Same muzzle velocity as stock, can be run on every sniper apart from the NTW and AWS (former can’t take suppressors in general, latter already has a suppressor), and the suppression radius cut into 1/16th its original value means enemies won’t be alerted to a near miss when taking out another enemy.

the M107 needs to have the 1 shot torso range decreased by 30%, make the "sweetspot" do 100 damage (1 shot limb) and decrease the rpm to 40, this would be like a hecate II sidegrade/small upgrade which i think would be good for the meta

You put to much emphasis on a gun making you good. You can’t give a m107 to a low rank and have them preform fantastic. Its the player holding it that makes the gun. Nerfing guns making them gimmicky or or hard to use makes people use them less.

the m107 buff is perfectly fine. Right now it´s really bad and I could argue that the bfg is better than the m107 right now, with this it makes it a viable weapon and you will be a glass cannon being very slow and easy to kill but being able to kill other people up close, this is much more fun to fight against a Hecate 1 shotting you across the map with you not being able to do anything, this makes the m107 actually a counter part to the hecate, the m107 being able to kill up close and deal with groups more reliably than the hecate but not being able to cross map snipe like with the hecate.
