No big editing effects, no flashy transitions, no moving here and there. Just a basic zoom in, zoom out effect with perfectly placed camera and a story to share ❤. Its really superb. I think RU-vid is now shifting more on story telling side rather than high level video editing!!!
This! I remember when transitions and effects became a thing I felt so unwell at first. eventually I got used to it but after taking a long break from social media and coming back I feel overwhelmed by just zooming in and out 😭 I really enjoy raw videos or simple cuts nowadays:)
This is the way I look at social media too. It captures moments of your life and looking back it's cool to see the journey and what you created at any given time in your life.
Stop consuming, Start creating. ♡ I actually created an IG account as a visual diary of my life with God: process, battles, meditation in the word of God, testimonies, memories, etc. But again, I've been overthinking on how to make it more appealing to people. The whole purpose of it got destroyed. But this video made me rethink on getting my hands on it in Jesus name. If you are some who writes more than talking, this is a great way to use social media y'all. And we can bless other people along the way, we never know! God bless you guys! ♡
This is actually what Facebook was like back in the late 00s. Then it got really toxic on there and I stopped posting there and focused on IG. Nowadays it's mostly IG stories that I create, but I've been wanting to start a RU-vid channel for the exact same reasons you state...pretty much a video journal where I'm doing it for posterity and for capturing moments in time. Not for views or monetization (although I wouldn't mind...that would just be the cherry on top)
I see social media like this too!! I love making monthly photo dumps on Instagram of little things from that month even if it isn’t anything crazy and now I have a collection I can always look back and remember and what’s better is comparing the same month photo dumps from previous years to this years one and seeing in what ways my life has changed!! Also using RU-vid to make little vlogs even on uneventful days is a way I enjoy logging my life to look back on
I never thought of it like that. I've been removing followers since i've made my insta acc private since i don't like the thought of people who i dont follow back or even know seeing my stuff. Lately, i've posted edits i made of shows i love and pictures i've taken. I like giving each image and edit a name or a title that ties in how i feel about it. I do make it ambiguous or "confusing" sometimes so it's only something i can understand
