The new way to cook meat for dinner! Simple and delicious
Ingredients:
pork neck: 2 kg (4 lb)
onion: 300 g (11 oz)
salt: 10 g (0.4 oz)
black pepper: 7 g (0.2 oz)
pickled cucumbers juice: 200 ml (6.8 fl oz)
pickled cucumbers: 100 g (3.5 oz)
red bell pepper: 200 g (7.1 oz)
leek: 200 g (7.1 oz)
vegetable oil: 40 ml (1.4 fl oz)
potatoes: 4 pc
mozzarella: 300 g (11 oz)
sour cream: 300 g (11 oz)
melted butter: 100 g (3.5 oz)
mustard seeds: 100 g (3.5 oz)
parmesan: 50 g (1.8 oz)
carrot: 300 g (11 oz)
lemon zest: 10 g (0.4 oz)
lemon juice: 20 ml (0.7 fl oz)
vegetable oil: 30 ml (1 fl oz)
parsley: 20 g (0.7 oz)
black pepper: 4 g (0.1 oz)
salt: 7 g (0.2 oz)
pumpkin seeds: 30 g (1.1 oz)

They are pickled cucumbers, though. You can buy all types of vegetables that are pickled, so calling them just "pickles" is incorrect. That's just laziness. ​@mickystanaitis9585

That's exactly what I was thinking, It's one of the strangest things I've ever seen 😮 why not to crack the lid and strain the juice out or just use/get a strainer?? There's like a dozen ways off the top of my head that are more practical and logical!

Bc it's easier if you poke holes in it, to spread it out better, instead of taking the lid completely off bc you wouldn't be able to spread it out that way as easy , and you would wind up getting too much

Lay the carrot down, hold at one end and pull the peeler from the hand and away... That way you get the solid strips without likely cutting yourself.

Yes, brine &/or pickle juice works well on pork, as you've shown previously - GREAT idea! And the excellent choice of ingredients mixed into the recipe is perfect! The final dish with the carrot salad is totally unexpected but wonderfully paired!

Had to stop watching could not make it through the cutting portion, you are literally putting your pointer finger in front of your blade on every cut, im am definitely not the cutting police but I would try a different technique especially if you are giving a tutorial

Looks delicious! I would do 3 things to make it a bit healthier: trim the large chunks of pork fat off the meat, reduce the pickle brine to 150 ml, cut the amount of pickles to half (and cut smaller pieces to make more), swap some or all of the melted butter with milk to thin out the sour cream. I believe there would be enough fat in the pork, sour cream and cheese. This would also help reduce the salt and possibly sugar from the pickle brine, and butter fat. I’m passing this on to anyone watching their cholesterol, salt and possibly sugar content (depending on the type of pickle you use). Looks good though and will try to make it either way!

Like the alternative options mentioned for ppl that dont automatically know how to substitute out easily. The processed pickles dont really have carbs to worry about re the pickle juice, extremely high in sodium though, worse for bp and decreased heart function...with the meat, that should balance out any carb concern.

The way you're holding that knife and your guiding hand is the most anxiety inducing thing I've seen. You need to grip your knife at the back of the blade to keep it secure and your guiding hand needs to be curled down to prevent accidentally cutting yourself. Also learn how to hone your blade. It looks dull. This is also dangerous. Look, each of ny suggestions can ve found here in RU-vid. Your didh looks yummy but i don't want you to ruin future dishes by adding unnecessary blood. ❤

You know what this recipe sounds to me that more like leaning to the keto diet❗️ WHICH IS GOOD 👍 one pot meal and you have all your meat vegetables and good fats❗️ extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil high in protein, vegetables, and low carbs🤔 "that is the way to go" yay 😃 okay I'm going to try this recipes so I can start the keto diet which is kind of complicated to me. yippee❗️ thank you very much😊

What has happened to society when the automatic reaction to just about any post is to seek out the negative and criticize every second of it? Why can't you all see the point of the video? It's the cheaper version of the pork rolls. I usually dont do pork, except unhealthy bacon and ham, but saw the different rolls. Im sure pork loin would work, less fat too Im guessing, but Im not the cook, so its at your own risk🙃

Don't care about your knife skills as much as a lot of other people. You do you with sharp objects. What sticks out to me is how unorganized this process is. 1 cut everything first. It made no sense to break this up into meat and onions, mix, place carefully, cut a bunch of other stuff. Pile it on top. Pour pickle juice on top. Mix up everything you spent time carefully placing. Just get a large bowl and toss it all in and mix well! If the idea is the onion juices will break down the meat a bit, great, but so will the pickle juice, so both working together, sooner, still speeds things up. If you're looking for any marination it'll take time, so still just to throw it all on a bowl and wait, then spread on a pan. If the idea is to keep from having to wash an extra bowl.. seriously.. 2 seconds. It's all it'd take. Way less than all this. 2 you don't have to show the long process of cutting everything unless it's some sort of specialized cut. Unless this is a cutting tutorial, most people can muddle through cutting a bell pepper. That potato layering part was tedious to watch. Having to do it ourselves is one thing, but even with the quick cuts we got the idea after a row or 2, we didn't need to see it all. I'm having trouble deciding if I'd just recommended mixing all of the cheese into the sour cream mixture, and then just spreading all of that evenly. It just feels like most people will complain about fighting against the sprinkled cheese with the sour cream spread. Since the end result looks like... That... I don't totally get why these things need layering. If it's anything like my lasagna, it doesn't change a whole lot doing it. It'd also be another time saving step. Also.. yeah.. no sugarcoating it. End result looks.. eh. Blah. Maybe because it's pork, and while delicious, it just comes out grey, or maybe it is that thick carassaole fillings layer that makes up the top. I don't know. I just started the video thinking I could think about making this and ended it completely unimpressed. Roasted pork and vegetables/potatoes, none of that nonsense on top, would just look better and probably be healthier (which could matter to some) Great video, I guess, if it was for ASMR purposes. It had that vibe, but I'm not sure it was intentional

Unfortunately it takes longer than than to cook pork. They pork didnt look done under all them pototoes n other stuff n cheese. Pork has to be throughly cook. I would not being trying this recipe.

You're the only person I saw mention that. Putting raw meat straight into the oven without browning it first is a recipe for disaster. If I try it, I'd at least cook the pork over the stove first.

1 WHY punch holes all around the lid? You only used not even half. #2 im pretty sure if you cut one chunk of meat and 1 potato we could figure it out. #3 how many unnecessary ingredients could you keep adding? #4 why put oil on the meat and those ingredients? Those pork pieces are WAY OILY #5 there is NO WAY you used only those 4 small potatoes to cover that #6 GROSS on the sour cream and melted butter an mustard seed

Looks like she put every ingredient she could find in her fridge, kitchen cabinets and maybe nirtowed some ftom a neighbor to put in this simple new way of cooking meat. Neck cuts are cheaper cuts of meat, mostly because the connective tissue makes them tougher/chewier; being inconvenient like that means most people don't use them. However, because of all that extra collagen, they're moister and flavorful than, say, a tenderloin, but it generally takes longer cook times through inconvenient cooking methods like braising or smoking, to make a neck cut worth eating, since it breaks down that connective tissue. This could also be the point of both the onions and the pickle juice. Onions add flavor and texture to meat dishes, but there's compounds in onion juice that act as a meat tenderizer. Pickle juice has the same effect. Honestly, writing this I'm adding the pork neck part to the reasons why I maybe wouldn't make this. That 40min could time, basically only roasting/steaming the meat under a casserole layer of potato, cheese and sour cream make me think that the meat would probably still be somewhat tough to chew. It'd need a bit more marinating time than the video suggests (the video doesn't really suggest any at all). You could make this with a more tender cut of pork and have good results. The problem with those cuts is a lack of fat content making the pork dry, which is a normal issue with most pork cuts. Maybe the vegetables and whatever, matched with the parchment/foil layer keeps it from drying out as easily. But otherwise it can be easy to overcook more heavily used cuts of pork, and they're usually a little more expensive.

Makes no sense to poke holes in the lid of the jar no sense at all. You can open a jar and pour the pickle juice right out of the jar or for the pickle juice into a cup.

Way too many ingredients. Where are the crushed potato chips? I was good with the meat pickles and peppers. I also wish the meat was seared. Too many ingredients just becomes slop to me.

I originally thought the same, but then what I can see the meat was white. Potatoes take the longest to cook so if theyre done, then guessing the meat would be in those hunks. Wish the video would have indicated temp and time... (Pork needs to be cooked just til its white, just like chicken)

What's new with this? 🤔🤔🤔 People have been cooking like that for decades. Wasted the pickle jar by punching holes in the lid, just take what you needed. Meat needed to be sauté first before adding the rest of the ingredients. Those potatoes would have been hard, so they needed to be parboiled first. Seriously, stop ✋️ and actually learn about different ingredients before cooking them. 40 years experience of cooking Mediterranean dishes.

From the beginning it never looked as if it would come out looking good. A bunch of random ingredients, the gimmicky pickle jar lid with holes (in a circle to boot!) random salad to go with that disgusting looking dish (as if the dish would get more healthy with the side of salad) tediously long video. All it needed was a pimple popping segment at the beginning and it would have been perfect!
