IQ just measures your ability to logical reasoning. It's not a measurement for intelligence, brightness and/or smartness. Someone can have a high IQ but be really dumb: his high IQ qill likely help him in logical problem solving, and that's mainly it. Plus there a lot of types of intelligences (intended plural), and IQ is just one of them.

IQ is a very limited indicator of intelligence, in modern performance metrics the value of IQ has fallen a lot.

People use IQ as the same as general intelligence, which just isn't true, it's meant to measure abstract reasoning, and it does a meh job at that too. The guy who invented IQ tests was literally a eugenist, and faked and modified the results to "prove" his theories. It's all around quite shit, but it's true that at least high IQ people have good abstract reasoning skills.
