One feature that is still missing is the visualizations. We want our old school visualizations back. A refreshed Musical Colors, improvements on battery visualizations, updated bars and waves, resolution expansion on Plenoptic and ambience with improvements. And more

The new Media Player is great, but it still doesn’t feel finished. For example, I have problems editing the properties of albums. However, this is a great product, and I’m sure it will get even better.

The old media player had a better equalizer, supported SRS WOW effects, supported custom skins, plug-ins, fantastic visualizations, solid ripping capabilities, Metadata editing and more. I have to ask, have you even used the old media player? It outperforms the new one in every way.
I like it a lot, but there are some inconsistencies in this new media player, for example "Cast to device" option which is still using the old Windows 10 UX
Is there a way to change playlist format? Switching format from m3u8 to m3u made the playlist incompatible with some of the games, that use playlists as custom soundtracks
Absolutely. I want visualizations and if Windows Media Player can't produce the goods then I'm outta here. Well done Micro$oft - you guys really know how to destroy a good product. With EVERY Windows update you fuck shit up!!!
It's not that great cause i can't find the music play tools that allows me to select play all and that used to be on the windows media player , i didn't have to add my music to my library.
It looks great BUT that's where it ends. Simply put it does NOT have any option to display music visualizations whilst playing. Sad omission by Micro$oft.
It's pretty bad. It lets you add duplicate songs to playlists too easily. It doesn't tell you how many songs you have without selecting them first. Reordering songs within playlists is broken. Basic settings are missing. It's all a huge mess
It is better player than Groove uuhhh!.., easier UX and subtle looks makes it nicer, Juts wish Visualization like classic Windows Media Player would be included in it
I hate missing cd cover art still after all these years you think Microsoft would have put some one in charge to address this concern I think its safe to say its not important to Microsoft uninstall
It's a terrible interface...very disappointing. They have removed access to too many settings. For example, the user can't sort the playlist by Last Played, can't alter the size of the graphics or text and there are no longer skins available. The graphics shown are also disproportionately showing the Artist information instead of the Album information. They also declined to put any sort of lyrics display option. Definitely another example of Microsoft thinking they are improving something but they are actually taking a step backwards.
This media player is garbage. Even freeware options like VLC are superior in nearly every way imaginable. Windows in general has been steadily getting worse with each passing year and there's no reason to suspect that's going to change any time in the near future.
