Guy, "instead of fixing the beauty standards and lowering them, they made the beauty standards higher for males" this statement still acknowledges the validity of false 'beauty standards'. It should be instead of disbanding normalised notions of beauty standards they extended the reach of beauty standards to include men.

Fair call Karen on the tribunal comment. I’m māori and agree with that statement but also, urban māori need to apply for grants through their hapu. The problem is that urban māori don’t know where they’re from so they don’t know who to apply to for grants. Urban māori are learning though, i’m one myself 😊

Guy Williams has always had a political slant on his comedy. Comedy is often used to question the current state of things and highlight injustices. It’s a vehicle for change. This podcast is about NZ, and current events, so of course politics are going to be discussed. Especially when it comes to how they impact every day kiwis like Karen and Guy.
