Nah, a combination of jealous members of other groups (because they didn't think of this first), bots, and people who just dislike things to be spiteful.
Welp I think I've learned my lesson. Always double check song titles for video game medleys or you will face humiliation and ridicule. I'm scared of the comments this will get if this goes viral.
Ryan's hat changes timestamps: 0:03 Mario 1:00 Luigi 1:29 Wario 2:04 Peach 2:41 Not a different hat, but it made me laugh 3:54 Super Mushroom/Star/Fire Flower

Adding an index like this to the video’s description text enables RU-vid’s new *named* and *segmented* Progress Bar feature! (It requires a 0:00 at the top of the list)
As a bonafide NES snob, I'm glad someone else caught that small error (water music is from the first game). Lol, I don't care, this is great. Made my night.
@@milock7204 that same melodic line and harmonic progression are 100% in all three games. The start screen for Mario 2 and 3 have variations of the SMB1 underwater music because it was Koji Mondo's favorite theme.
I literally can't listen to One-Up Girl and not have the biggest, stupidest smile on my face and your guys' rendition did just that. Amazing work my dudes!
This video makes me miss Ryan every time I see it. However, I hope he is enjoying his life outside the Newfangled Four, and that you guys keep releasing amazing music
I literally spent the weekend messing around playing video game music by ear, listening to Tom Brier sight read Mario themes, and dusting off the old NES I found in my parents' garage. And now this happens. HOW U DO DIS
I love you guys so much. you introduced me to the barbershop genre, and now I'm way into it. Though I've expanded my horizons, The Newfangled Four remains my favorite quartet! Please make more content. Your music is beautiful and your jokes are beautiful and you are beautiful.
You guys have opened my life up into a new genre of music i never thought id be listening too. Seriously, I cant express how glad I am I found you all under an obscure rock in this jungle we call youtube.
My girlfriend helps run the Barbershop competitions, and for a non-barbershopper, The NewFangled Four was the best thing about sitting through the competitions! I'm going to miss your guys' amazing songs and silly skits.
I think the single funniest part of this might be the little spinning "Here we go!" at the beginning. Something about the camera angle makes it extra funny for some reason I don't quite know how to explain, on top of the spinning thing the picture does.
I LOVED this whole thing, I'm gonna watch it a million times, and I wish I could like it a thousand times, but I REALLY wanna know what the outro song is, the little "*clap clap*" is SO fun
It's been a little over a week... I'm starting to think it's a little didly that Joey came up with and included for the outro but it sounds so FAMILIAR and it's driving me insane kdhskfjsks
I love your arrangements and the way you song them. Usually a match made in heaven. I never got into Mario so this one doesn't do much for me. However, you absolutely nailed it. Kudos to the work required for this arr. Well done gents.
Would love a version where each voice is muted... so you can really get a feel of what each voice brings to (a/this) song :) my kids are getting fed up with me playing this vid ... it just makes me really cheerful! Keep up the good work ;)
You all are so talented! Even in a goofier video like this, you all really show your musical talent and how well you can remember and stick to some pretty out-there vocal lines. I love what you guys do, and it's really bringing me joy during quarantine :)
