Basra, Iraq ➖ It's always interesting to me that whenever I visit a "dangerous" country, I never actually feel in danger! For decades the news has published lies and exaggerated stories, that only show the negatives of countries and have led to prejudice around the world. My mission of late is to visit countries that have faced this issue to go and show the TRUTH. 99.9% of the time, it's the complete opposite of what the media shares and ironically, I feel a lot safer in these countries than where these media outlets operate from. I hope you enjoy watching what the reality is in Iraq.

Just wonderful to see the Iraqi people & the children. All so incredibly generous, humble & intelligent. For years I’ve told people in the US my Middle Eastern friends are the most amazing people, & nothing like what we are sadly led to believe. Luke & Mac are doing a great service to share their experiences. The children are all so outgoing, inquisitive & beautiful. It’s a shame we can’t all learn to open our minds & our hearts to everyone as they do!✌🏻❤️👍

People have in mind that these people have been through all, millions of Iraqis slaughtered because US thought they have weapons for mass destruction, then ISIS in Mosul etc, this is surreal to watch and enjoy interactions with lovely locals i am definitely planning a trip hopefully soon there.

General Sada of Iraq's Air Force wrote a book detailing exactly when and how Iraq's WMD's were moved to Syria and he's very engaging and believable. Find him on RU-vid. Bush wanted to see a free Iraq and it's looking better today.

It's just propaganda when countries go to war the media spreads lies about the countries they're going to war with in order to make you accept or support the war...when the media shows you that these countries are "backwards" and "violent" and "aggressive" and "oppressive" and "hate the west" and are "full of terrorists" who want to "destroy the whole world" and are "barbaric" then that will make you support the war when in reality these countries are NOTHING like that at all. That's really what it is and in the end war = money so if the people support these wars they can keep having wars for longer and make more money. It's sad but that's what the reality is. Fortunately because of people like Luke and because of the internet people are able to see the truth and do no fall for the government's bullshit that easily anymore and hopefully the truth continues to spread because at the end of the day you'll realize that we are all more the same than different and there's good everywhere and that in the end we all really just wanna live our lives normally and be happy that's simply the truth

Iraq Mesopotamia is a great country, but it suffers from deliberate neglect. There are many historical and tourist places, but they are neglected. Nevertheless, there are many beautiful places, but you need a tourist to get to know the places that can be visited. In addition, the people in Iraq are friendly and nice. And very generous

It's wild that we were with war with these guys since 2001 onward which was basically my entire child hood. Watching your videos seeing American vehicles such as brand new Dodges and Jeeps just driving down the road blew me away.

Since 2001 onward? The 2nd invasion of Iraq occurred in 2003 and ended in 2011 over 10 years ago. Just goes to show you how much those who oppose the war and play the 'America bad' card really know about it... *NOTHING!!* The 2003 invasion of Iraq was absolutely justified and the people of Iraq have nobody to blame but Saddam. His apologists are no different than the pathetic Putin apologists of today.

Hello Luke, I am Cuban borned but raised in the United States all my life and that picture you said was Fidel Castro is not him. That picture is of Fidel Castro's best friend Ernesto Guevara a prominent communist figure in the Cuban Revolution and his nick name was El Che. Ernesto Guevara ( El Che). El Che was born in Argentina but was part of the communist revolution in Cuba with Castro in the 1956-1959. These two men are the reason Cuba has suffered almost more than 60 years now with a dictatorship that does not work and never will. My Cuban people suffer and every day are desperately trying to leave the island for a better life for them and their families. This is very sad and heartbreaking for me. 😥 Thank God my parents left many, many, years ago for a better like.

Guevara is a free man, the whole world follows his example. As for Fidel Castro, her popularity is somewhat different from that of Guevara. Rest in peace Guevara 😔😔
