I'm scared she might somehow miss the chapter 2 one as well, given that she didn't totally notice the secret area in the Trash Zone. Fortunately, there are far more signs of it at least existing, so it's harder to completely miss.

I think Ralsei does have secret plans, but not evil ones. For example, after the events of Deltarune, Ralsei might be setting himself up to be the ruler of the Dark World. He is the Prince of the only area that has a dark fountain, afterall.

@@BlueRiging It would be a little weird if Ralsei ended up having evil motivations, but I DO hope that he has more going on than just "pure pure fluffy smol boi" Also I kinda want to put him back under the hat.

i dont think that was neither of them and all that really happened. The more logical explanation its that Toriel calls Kris to wake them up, then goes to the kitchen and find the empty tin with their knife or something like that. It is a fake-out of course, but saying its a dreams feels lazy and i dont think its a scene from the future

@@lucasvicente3637 Yeah... when you call your kid in another room to wake them up, you do it by saying "Kris...?" (not shouting, I might add. No exclamation mark. Just saying it in a questioning voice). Then asking if they're already awake. Then see a knife and scream in panic (while still addressing Kris for some reason. Even though the focus has changed and she would be talking to herself.) No, that doesn't make any sense. She's clearly talking directly to Kris while they're right in front of her in the blacked-out screen. It would be like showing a character saying, "I can't believe I'm stuck in traffic today of all days!" on a black screen, then the next scene showing the person entering a garage. It wouldn't make any sense. They wouldn't talk in the present tense about being stuck in traffic if they aren't even in the car yet. (They might say it in the future tense if they knew traffic was happening, but you know what I mean). Even if you think a dream is "lazy", (it's a fake-out anyway) it's still a logical explanation, whereas the scene happening directly before Toriel enters Kris' room as the game tries to imply isn't logical. More likely, though, I think it's a scene from the future. A bit of foreshadowing. Kind of like Asriel meeting Chara and saying "My name is..." before the screen fades. The full scene will play out later in the game (maybe only in a certain route) and Toriel will see Kris holding a knife. I'm not one to inject theory into everything, but when the scenes clearly don't match up, there's something going on. Also, sorry, am I sounding too aggressive about this? I don't want to sound like a toxic fan forcing my theory, but I just wanted to explain why the scenes aren't what the game makes them out to be.

otanjōbi omedetō actually means "congratulations (on your) birthday"! in this case, it might be referring to scammy popups that claim to have special gifts for their victim?

i dont think she will do the weird route since she didnt do genocide on Undertale, avoiding it us for the better tho

@@lucasvicente3637 yeah but the genocide route overrode your save file and totally changed your game forever. that's not the case with the weird route in deltarune! whatever toby is going for, it seems to be different in this game. (of course she's not obligated to do it! i just think it has a lot of interesting implications)

@@Flooreenciia28 its not Deltarune case... for now, we dont know what repercution this might have on future chapters or even if it taints all your save files like UT does, the only way we know or savefile is tainted its because that scene post soulless pacifist but here we dont even have an ending, and knowing Toby it probably will be remembered. On the other hand, by "its for the better" i meant that forcing a teenager to manipulate their childhood friend into murdering their classmate its quite brute and it can make you feel really bad

100% worth seeing, sure, but is it *worth* playing? Some wouldn't say so. She didn't do Undertale genocide for the same reason. I'll be pretty darn surprised if she goes for a Weird Route run.

@@fahrenheit2101 I'll be surprised too, but I want it so bad. Undertale is cursed with content creators only seeing a portion of the game, and I love her reactions so much I just hope she plays it. In my opinion, genocide in Undertale was definitely worth playing, and she hasnt made any references to it ever so I wonder if she even watched videos on it? And for me, the weird route is surely worth it in Deltarune because its lore implications are so much more than Undertale's genocide. Being able to actually change the course of the rest of the story and break out of your pre determined fate across 5 more chapters - doesnt that sound worth playing to you? That'll end up being consistently new and different content for the game, hopefully with its own boss fights as well

@@ballisticbiscuit5706 Well, fair, it is a good chunk of probably/hopefully new content throughout the chapters, but it's also... not exactly the most pleasant thing in the world. In many ways, I find it darker than Genocide. Also, calling it breaking out of your pre-determined fate might be technically accurate if you trust Spamton's words, but you also need to account for the fact that Spamton said that this path wouldn't end well, if that wasn't already obvious. I'm assuming you're aware of the Spamton dialogue during Snowgrave, but just so we're on the same page, he says something like: "YOU THINK MAKING [Frozen Chicken] WITH YOUR [Side Chick] IS GONNA LET YOU DRINK UP THAT [Sweet, Sweet] [Freedom Sauce]? WELL, YOU'RE [$!$!] RIGHT!" "BUT DON'T BLAME ME WHEN YOU'RE [Crying] IN A [Broken Home] WISHING YOU LET YOUR OLD PAL SPAMTON [Kill You]" So essentially, the best guess is that this route is Kris' best shot at freedom, but at a very high cost. Not everybody wants to do that. Especially since in this game, it's made expressly clear that YOU, not Kris, not "Chara" or "Frisk" as you might potentially try and blame in Undertale, are responsible for, well, everything. Genocide imo has bigger lore implications *at the moment* , Snowgrave just has potential for now, we'd need to see where it actually ends up going. TLDR: Yeah, it's cool and has new, plot-relevant content. But it's also dark and sorta depressing. If you wouldn't do genocide, I wouldn't recommend this either. But ofc I'm split: I too would love to see more reactions to Snowgrave.

@@ballisticbiscuit5706 thats your opinion though, and the opinion of most of the fandom of course, but saying "its 100% worth" isnt truth, a better way to put it would be "its was 100% worth for me" because you prioritize acquiring lore pieces and content above the characters itself. of course, not implying nor trying to say youre a bad person for choosing that, but whats worth changes depending on the person. I for example after doing genocide didnt wanted to do any other route like that and when this got released i was tempted but thinking on how much i like the characters and the horribles things you force them to do feels unbearable... though ive watched it because i also like the lore and theorizing a lot.
