I think I'm going to buy as much hidden fates as I can! I heard walmarts are going to stop carrying cards (sports and pokemon).....better for the LGS'

I'm getting a bit of VV sealed product to hold. Got 2 booster boxes from Amazon this week for $120 each before they raised the price to $165 and 3 ETB's for $40 each from another place. I also have 2 cases of Shining Fates Premium Collections on preorder for $55 each that I will try to flip for other sealed product. I prefer holding sealed product and collecting from what I buy to open. I also have some nice sealed sports card products I've been able to find at retail this year. Hodl sealed product if you can. It's the only way to be sure.

I WAS collecting trainer full arts last month but since more RU-vidrs started talking about them, the prices have skyrocketed. Everything is really volatile. Things I was buying just last week like Japanese Misty's Favor (Request) have doubled in price and all but disappeared from ebay completely. I believe I am still slightly ahead of the market, partly thanks to some of your videos so thanks for that. You were spot on with the "Waifu Tax" assessment regarding singles. I'm not going to give away my secrets but you can get a sense of where the market is headed by identifying a pattern and then extrapolating it into relatively untouched areas of the market. However, I am mostly just a collector. Of course value comes into play and I am buying and holding some things but I'm not buying to flip and make a quick buck. If people want to do that, they should just learn how to trade stocks.

Solid insight as always! I plan on coming in this weekend to buy some singles from you all :) Invests, weird to call it investments but I have Champions Path ETB and Vivid Voltage ETB still sealed. Plan on opening up a VV booster box to help fill out the set.

Mason you do great! Most ppl that watch yt only watch yt, their not spending 4-6hrs a day 4 days a week doing research on trends and uptick and downticks, when I decided to try this part-time I soon realized I'm spending as much time doing research and work ( w/o purchases) as I am at my 9-5 and I've been collecting for sometime but just recently opened up in the yt community since its a big platform now, but you have to put in alot of time and effort to succeed!! This is one of the few Pokémon channels I’m still subscribed to. It’s Frank and non animated and content stimulating.

I'm collecting more japanese, less craziness I have to deal with, and it's all of better quality imo.

Recent favourite purchases of mine were the Japanese Movie KOKO Swallowed Pikachu Box (before it sky rocketed in price) & The Theme song collection which includes the musician card. Had to pick up Torkoal, Wishiwashi & Stoutland from Cosmic eclispe in singles because the art on those cards is just amazing, my favourites from that set! I picked up a Jessie & James card very cheap over a month ago, so had a giggle watching your video on it.

I look at the Card Market every day. Just like the StockMarket , You observe the prices and the fluxuations on the cards EveryDay. Look at the set you're interested in, look at the prices on the cards, Are they going down, Are they going up,,,why are they going up...Knowledge about the Meta also helps and following the Banned list within the Meta. Watch the market every day , i bought a card for $5 and a few weeks later it was at $75 because i saw it was getting bought out and there was a scarcity .

Excellent content, just found this channel and subscribed! I'm a Yugioh collector personally but the Pokemon perspectives are valuable -- especially when as detailed/insightful as yours! Keep it up!

Let's go I'm first. I bought 5 hidden fates etb's for 115 and some hidden fate promos sealed cards for 20. I also pre-ordered 600 worth of shining Fates and plan to try to get more on release and possibly get more hidden fates when it restocks this late January

I’m primarily interested in collecting Gen 1 and Gen 2 cards. I mainly get boosters that have a lot of cards I like (Rebel Clash, Breakpoint) because I’m pretty much guaranteed to get cards I like. If I get valuable pulls that I don’t want, I flip them and use the money to get more cards for my collection. I just got Alakazam V box mainly for Alakazam V, but I got some cards I wanted like Suicune. I also pulled a secret rare Oranguru, so I’m selling that. Lately I’ve been finding good deals for Secret Wonders and Majestic Dawn singles.

Full Art Trainers and Character Rares are where im at right now.

I'm investing in the zards as they are the proven backbone. My 3 main sets right now are burning shadows, hidden fates, and cosmic eclipse. Zard chasing is tough but soooo rewarding. I traded a rainbow vmax zard from champions path for a sealed box of the ultra premium collection box of hidden fates 😏

Been collecting full art trainers for a while now Bit crazy how the prices have jumped! Fortunately I had already picked up the more expensive ones, but now all the cheaper ones are jumping too arghh That and finishing my cosmic eclipse master set because its my fave set. I picked a few of the pikachu full arts up when it came out because I loved the art and wanted to play a nuzzle deck with them haha

All good points. The lazier people are in their research, the less they will benefit if they're trying to turn a profit or collect on the cheap. People will keep falling for the same trap though. It's much easier to listen to a random RU-vidr hype something up than to actually investigate what has investment potential and get there early. If you're buying products after they've been hyped, chances are you missed the boat and you should just steer clear and go somewhere else entirely, or bite the bullet if you really need to have it and just see it continuing to climb. Moral of the story, do your research and buy what appeals to you. Chances are it will appeal to someone else

I’ve been picking up amazing rares when I see a good deal because there’s likely to be more this year and having a full PSA 10 set would be awesome for my personal collection and if it’s as good as let’s say gold star full set in 15-20 years It’ll be a bonus for me

I also have seen my XY evolution sealed product go insane and continue to rise. It's not quite vintage but not modern either, it's got nostalgia attached to it as well. It's the in-between stage and I know it's a great investment ! (Almost 5 years old) as you know lol

Great video as always, good information, from the best Pokémon knowledge spreder on RU-vid. Im just completing sets in the moment, bying singles, and investing in rare modern and old school cards, im just sitting on my money in the moment, and waiting for the new battlestyles to be released :) I bought Hidden Fates late 2019, and bought around 1200 packs, at the overall price of 5 dollars a piece, i collected the set cheap, and I wont ever sell it, just because its my favorite modern set, almost only first Generation Pokémon, its a legit investment 👍🏻 Happy hunting all, Greetings from Denmark 😁🇩🇰

i mainly invest in cards i like and pokemon i like and from my experience it’s easy to sell cards i collected that i likes bc others usually see or feel same way. i also collect on condition which helps when investing
