If you look at the comparisons, the pico 4 is a lot better than the quest. Pretty much the only place the quest is better is with the game store, which pico intend to improve

It's a paid promo. Right now, quest is MUCH better for standalone. Pico is better for pcvr because it doesn't have very good software or many games yet
Well colour pass through (this was a year ago, before quest 3 and quest pro was overpriced af), automatic IPD and some other stuff. Quest 2 was still better IMO, better game selections and overall more solid.
@@Stanloonabchsuwuand the Vision Pro was announced a year ago. And he attended the announcement. It is possible that this short came out before that, though, but I’m not actually sure.
@@NotAhzzzzzvr So if we can sideload apps on both, then the pico 4 is still the better option because of the balanced weight distribution which offers a massive difference in comfort out of the box without needing to spend extra money on a headband, pancake lenses it offers compared to the fresnel lenses on quest 2 and the higher resolution per eye on the pico 4. The only difference then would be the refresh rate where quest 2 has 120hz compared to 90hz on the pico 4 but lets be real, the difference between 90hz and 120hz is minor as compared to something like 60hz vs 90hz. So overall Pico 4 is the better option

The Pico was made in China, because Oculus is owned by Facebook/Meta, and China doesn't like them. So ByteDance, the company that made TikTok, made a VR headset so they can also enjoy VR despite the controlling government.
@@brownie7870 no I'm not mad I do have a quest 2 but it just broke for me very fast and its your opinion and I will (NOT) argue with some one that dosent know something about headstets
@@Lameless the passthrough was never really important, all it's used for is either setting up a boundary or a quick judge of surroundings, and that's all the fith camera adds. It's not "next gen" it's barely an upgrade.

@@preyedorgu2525 the oculus was one of the first wireless vr headsets developed by meta a subsidiary of Facebook and has a hand tracking feature which has a full dedicated game to it. Pico saw this and thought, "I could do that" even though the pico four looks like a much more business centered headset like the quest pro.
