I'd love for them to add more walk styles, including a wheelchair and cane option. They want to be "inclusive" but have no idea how weird it is to make a Sim of yourself who walks when you're in a wheelchair 😂
I would love to be a mortician. But could you imagine zombies being added! Just imagine they implement a funeral scene and the coffin falls and the deceased falls out of the coffin and becomes a zombie! But hey too ambitious huh lol!
If they want to make this an EP im gonna need -New career -ALOT of new deaths -New occult ( saw zombies mentioned) -Functional nursing homes -better or updated graveyards/ gravestones -having a will & choosing whos in it - at least 1 or 2 new hobbies for elders and everyone in general Cant think of anything else off the top of my head but definitely more if its gonna be EP worthy, honestly this should be a game pack but i digress
I feel like EA is just ripping ideas off of modders at this point. Like Lovestruck had Wonderful/Wicked Whims and Simda. And the death pack would sound a lot like Mortem.

Funeral toasts, funeral reception with a feast, funeral speech, build designated mausoleums, have designated funeral lots, choose the type of tomstone you want, burial/ cremation/pyre/ship sendoff, funeral attires, hire a funeral speaker like a priest or something similar. This what comes to my mind in terms of options. We could also have zombies, mummies, and new type of ghosts. Vampires could get a minor update and they could get new coffin beds too.

Can you truly imagine a funeral pack? It's gonna be like weddings... I can see it now, you plan this whole thing... And in the middle of the funeral, the person gets out of the coffin and starts doing push ups. It's gonna be a nightmare. 😅
You pointing out funeral event creation as a feature really highlighted how insane it is that we never got a general event creator in Get Together. If you mixed the current event system of assigning roles with the holiday creation system or the club system, you'd have the ability to create funerals, weddings, pool parties, etc. Sims 4 is the only game that decides each event warrants an entire game pack.
I just downloaded the Mortem mod by Sim Realist but I didn’t have the opportunity to test it fully because of the update. There is a funérarium + graveyard lot, when your sim die an examiner will come and check the body, you can choose to have a proper funeral or to give the body for science experiment… it seems pretty realistic and immersive just as all Sim Realist mods !
I never got that mod cause it has the medical examiner and I have the Grim Reaper Career mod and I have a teen girl reaper that took over for Grim on calls to collect souls and the Mortem mod would make her job pointless and probably cause a conflict, if it had both the reaper and the medical examiner I would've tried it cause I liked the lot trait and the funeral aspect of it, if the modder had a grim reaper version of it then I could probably use it, cause it looked like a good mod except for that one aspect.
Maybe it's elder stuff pack with elements of death in it so like maybe when they get to elder status they then have "20 days left" and at 7 days left it'll pop up with "make sure you have your will/affairs in order as Shanice Shanice doesn't have long left" maybe can incorporate stuff to do with grandchildren e.g an aspiration similiar to sims 2 where it could be "have 6 grandchildren" I know the parent aspiration as stuff to do with generational gameplay in it. Classes would be good like salsa class or bingo night - maybe ladies afternoon tea. I'd love them to implement a care home maybe similiar to the hospital career with Get to work where you can apply for the home as a "resident" or "staff" i'm excited to see what happens. tbh i enjoy the trailers more than the actually packs xo
The best option, would IMO be a way to set ELDER life stage to short, med or long with med as default, INDEPENDENTLY of lengths of other life stages. In TS4 the default elder state is VERY short, which makes no sense, as elders ( age 60 -90) should be elders at least as long as teens (age12 -19) are teens (30 days) if not longer. The original pitch for the Grim Reaper career was for a freelance career where your Sim goes to a Townie and collects a payment and, if the Sim doesn't pay, Reaps them, if I remember right. Still entirely possible to do. I mean, this could easily be a zombie pack. Or a pack involving ghosts (which doesn't have a lot involving them right now). There was a lot of ways reviving Sims could go wrong in the past that just doesn't happen in 4. Maybe there could be a few more revive interactions with Grim in the pack. A dedicated graveyard lot would be great. A way to choose new headstones too. There's still blood to squeeze from this stone.
Before I started using the happy haunts graveyard mod, I just made it a generic lot. Then I found and added the graveyard lot trait by the modder Simularity. Then I found Happy Haunts by chipped sims and have stuck with it ever since. Mortem was more than I was looking for, Happy Haunts was perfect.
@sanecatlady cc was disabled. The UI totally broke, and I couldn't exit the game without manually shutting down my PC. I know mods can glitch, which is why I don't have game play mods. And I get all my cc through Curseforge and update it regularly. This is an EA problem, not a player priblem.
@@lorrainethomas241 Curseforge isn’t a catch all and can’t detect all conflicts its best to have a tester save you are willing to open with no mods or CC active at all even if they are up to date. If you had mods, even if you turn them off they can still cause a conflict with big enough changes. You should also delete your cache just to be sure. If the update clears all that in a new tester save with no mods at all active then you are all good to start putting back in mods and restore previous saves.
I have been wanting bands in the sims for years now but I’ve accepted it’s not going to happen and if it does it’ll be half baked. The MOBILE game Sims FreePlay has had drums, electric guitar, bass, keyboard and singing for almost a decade 😭

Same. I prefer the fairies and the music bands expansion instead of funerals. Or maybe they can create a maternity expansion or the tourisim expansion with hotels and resorts and airports. Even the hairdresser one it's a good idea

Fairys, Funerals, and Funk? I'm here for it. Having a lot of gameplay around the paranormal pack and the "Happy Haunts" by ChippedSim and building some great mausoleum hangouts for vampires and such I'd love to see us get more gameplay with ghosts, and funerals and such since my Upper Crusts club meetings seem to average a 1/event body count
Personally, I think they should've had Lovestruck be a french inspired pack BECAUSEEEEEEEE we have sugar skulls in the base game and we can offer them to the Grim Reaper (I think, I think), so we could have a stuff or game pack with a small Mexican town world where they incorporate the day of the dead!! It would have a secret world maybe and a lot of like Coco (the movie) vibes since that focuses on Dia De Los Muertos. We already have skull makeup too so it would work really well with the basegame and other packs!
To be honest, I don't even think that bands would be completely impossible to pull off even with Sims 4's spaghetti code. I mean, we already have the interaction to sing christmas carols together in a group in seasons, so playing a song with a band *could* work in a similar way, only that everyone uses their respective instrument (this and band management in general could be done in a similar way to setting up clubs). Like, come on, half of the code is already there, yet they still won't bother getting up their asses to actually make something of it. Classic Maxis

I heard that butterflies are the “mascot” for Lovestruck.. they have been hinting at the Grim Reaper and death since Ninja appeared as Grim in the first Behind the Sims Summit a couple years ago.
I have the Happy Haunts graveyard mod by chipped sims and I like it a little better than mortem because its closer to the spirit of sim-world-ness as oppossed to “real” life. That plus a adeepindigo’s golden years mod which has one level elder aspirations has filled out my later stages and death. What I like about the elder aspirations is they are one level and so completable by most elders before death. I worry this death EP is gonna finally break my happy haunts mod and I love it so much. Adds layers to death without making it too serious and not only adds a graveyard lot type, but adds an actual haunting aspect to it that makes it worth visiting at night. Also, I have chipped sims mod that makes ghost invisible to most sims making it special when you can see one. Hoping that doesn’t break. Hasn’t bren updated in ages and still works right now. I love seeing ghost being a gift or skill to be acquired.
A good idea for an elder pack would be to give them more stuff they can do, and also expand on ghosts and give them more stuff to do. Because ghost could be so interesting too but they are also so overlooked. Ghost could possess people and bring special curses and new death types! There is so much gameplay possible with ghosts but so little done with them.
Grim reaper career would be awesome!!! Funeral activities - raise the dead, mourn, eat buffet, give eulogy, rob the dead, dig the grave, custom headstones
I want a band pack like that would be so cute, but with actual concerts, and people preforming on the streets. Ofc in a cool new world with a modern side but also a kinda a darker side with alleys
Okay, with the bands expansion they better have a more improved jam and performance compared to sims 2 and 3. IRL, bands are usually associated with the rock/metal/extreme music genre, and a lot those musicians wear piercings. It would be awesome if they finally give Sims lip piercings. navel piercings, and more tattoos.
There could be a new crafting skill for stonemasonry. For graves, yes, but also for garden or building stonework, or repairing stonework on ruins perhaps.
Creating a band should have been in base game or Get Together. Also, some of us who want thieves should bloody get them back. What are we? Babies that can't handle it but can a WooHoo pack?
i wonder if it would come with "SIM WILLS" like gathering family members and stuff to review wills and etc . and a graveyard build would be nice to add on to the build list or even morgues .

I really wanted cupid or some loveoccult, could you imagine shooting an arrow in the sky, it touching 2 people, and those two making out in front of everyone, even their partner? Also, having a skill around it, or having it fail, like how spellcasters can fail, could make the wrong sims do things ...
Might be about the Elder life stage in general. There's a few really great Elder sim life stage mods that add great gameplay, so it would make sense if they wanted to steal that thunder and make a quick buck off of it.

I’d like a Death/Elder pack. Instead of Just flopping to the Ground upon death, they can still do that but I just think more creative Death animations or like you said, Graveyards which would work similarly to a Park lot.
I feel like it’s really just gonna be a funeral event, a mortician career, a few new cemeteries, and a gothic style build buy. It would be cool if they added things like a will and last wishes
Sims can already reminisce so that would probably be used for a new reminisce about *dead sim* or something, share happy memories. Speeches or eulogies. I would looove an elderly or end of life pack instead of specifically death bc I would LOVE to build actual group homes!
Something like "EOL Living", lol. All about growing older so the cc you speak of, oldies need a cane, have falls, get pneumonia have to visit the doctors often (similar to the pets pack when they have to go the vets), catarax, hearing and memory problems, incontinence lol then it all eventually leads to planning their will, family quarrels about the will and eventually the funeral, wake etc could be very entertaining as we know from irl. Some careers could be like care taker (have the old peeps homes like you mentioned or even rabbit holes for private elderly care jobs), mortitcian and you mentioned and family lawyer. We definitely need graveyards back for this too! Loving all the ideas. These are just a few I've thought of whilst watching :)
Ok, hear me out… they could TOTALLY do a whole expansion pack for elder sims! They could create a world that’s modeled off of a retirement community (like the villages in ocala, FL iykyk!) they could travel by golf cart lol but there could also be places for the elderly to work and have hobbies. -a grocery store to work the register and greet sim customers, sims could also visit to stock up on produce. -a community hall where they have events like Bingo, checker tournaments, bake sale contests, ballroom dancing class, etc. -assisted living community living, condo/apartments, and little bungalows houses. -golf course and shuffleboard, a pool with water aerobics class lol -they could also have gameplay where family comes to visit or they have drama within the retirement community lol the options are endless! 😂
They could add in Bingo as another activity! That would be cool to see. I am imagining it being similar to the Yoga classes from Spa Day with someone assigned to sit at the front playing the Bingo Master, and other Sims sitting round tables having animations for scribbling out numbers and calling out.
I always thought that a Retirement Living pack/ep would be pretty cool, and something nifty to make the elders more fun to play. A world that represents the warm location that elderly stereotypically retire too (like Florida in the US, or Queensland in Australia etc). Activities like Lawn Bowls, Golf, Bingo. You could send them off on a cruise maybe (which would prob be a rabbithole, but still). New lot types could be a retirement home. And a household with a nod to "The Golden Girls" would probably delight everyone.
I think it would probably be more like wedding stories, with lots of death related events like reading of the will, wake, burial (or something else, i’m not an expert on funeral ceremonies lol), none of which obviously wouldn’t work properly. what i’m struggling to think is how they would fit all of this “my funeral stories” stuff in a family friendly and goofy way.

Lovestruck is basically people paying 65-70$ (in Canada, depending on the province) for a mix of Wicked Whims attractions system, Lumpinous RPO, and LMS Simda. So a funeral “expansion” would be people paying the same but for A Deep Indigo’s Simulated Endings mod. At this point, we can probably “predict” what’s coming just by watching the popular mods of the next few months/year, since EAXIS has been stealing the popular mods and making people pay for them by turning them into EPs, GPs, Kits etc for years now 😂
I live with my mother in 55+ apartments, and our biggest activity is Bingo. We have an activity room, and they have things like trivia, bean bag bowling, and lots of bingo. We have a hair salon, too, where the coordinator makes appointments, and 2x a stylist comes here. If they are working on a pack for elderly Sims, I sincerely hope they do research and question elderly people so it's more realistic instead of assumptions of what they do all day.
Along the speciulative highway… Mexico (Day of the Dead), Japanese (Obon Festival),Irish Wakes, New Orleans Jazz Funerals, Indian Antyesti, etc.. They could pick a new culture for the world and then also have cross pack compatibility for Mexico & Japan & New Orleans ( Willow Creek) with an event taking place in those worlds if you had Snowy Escape or the new Lovestruck. Career compatibility florist can have a few new items to design, lovestruck counselor now also provides counseling for grief, wedding officiant now provides funerals, event planner from my wedding stories now can plan memorial events and receptions, lawyer wills. We are already digging up fossils, and jems let’s dig some limestone & granite stones and a new skill could be monument maker: designing headstones, plaques, cutting and engraving stone.
Sounds like maybe an Elder focused pack? That would be nice. We’ve done, Toddlers, infants, kids and Teens. Elders is the most neglected life stage in the franchise IMO.
Zombies and improved ghosts is the only thing about a funeral pack that I can imagine. Because funerals are very tied to culture, they could also go the wedding disaster style. Do you prefer a cremation, a burial, you have a mausoleum, etc. I wish we had a better way to do a eulogy than using the City Living's podium and having the urn inside the inventory of the sim doing the eulogy. Tbh, I wish we had retirement houses system (but really... Hotels would be better). Classes would be so cool, but I'm still looking for Growing Together's classes in the community center lol. It definitely would be a rabbithole, similar to skill classes in DIscover University. Also I would love if they, you know, updated the club system so that my elders could be in an elder club of people walking around in GrT. 😤
