Mr. Friendship And modernized. Back when Drake and Josh aired, conventions weren’t so ubiquitous. Yeah there was Galaxy Wars but other than that, nerddom and fandom wasn’t really embraced, not until iCarly really showed it
ICarly predicted RU-vid fame and South Park predicted RU-vid paying creators. Dan Shneider, Matt Stone and Trey Parker have a time machine they share. That's the o lying explanation
That Witty Guy but it doesn’t make sense. Icarly is in victorious, and so is Helen from drake and josh. But drake and josh is referenced into being an actual show that Kat watches and references the conveyor belt sushi place. But Helen says in the episode that she debuts in says she used to work where josh works before coming there.
@@markborishnikoff5485 It is an interesting theory but it is easily debunked because they show Carly and Sam as kids in one episode. They also have Carly watch Drake and Josh
Helen was also in an episode of Victorious and Goomer from Sam and Cat was in Henry Danger and Henry Danger was in Game Shakers. Not not mention, Kel was in Game Shakers kind of making the whole Dan Schnider universe come full circle.
Zack and Cody, Jessie/big Apple whatever it was, the one with the cyborgs, the one with the super heroes??? Damn it I can remember all that I've watched as a kid
I find Big Time Rush to be the better show over Victorious. Neither are perfect, but BTR has 3 things over Victorious that makes it better: 1. Consistently likable characters 2. A TV movie 3. An actual series finale
I actually was a big fan of Wizards of Waverly place. The movie still sits amongst my movie shelf up front with my other favorites lol. I bought the collectors box and everything with the special keychain it came with back in the day lol. Still hoping for a complete series box set release low key... 🤷🏻♂️😂
And in fact, some of his production posse you’ve seen onscreen. One of his writers was Jake Farrow, who played Gavin on Drake & Josh and voiced Rex on Victorious. Jamie Snow was Tammy, the “foreign exchange student from Tennessee” in The Girls Room, was Tara from Karaoke Dokie in Freak the Freak Out, and Chase’s almost fiancée in the “What Did Zoey Say?” short. She was a casting director on Schneider’s last three Nick series
So that wannabe twitch streamer guy is confirmed her brother. I really was hella confused when that dumb MMA guy suddenly showed up in that series. But the thing is, if Henry Danger and Sam & Cat are connected. And those are sequels of icarly and victorious, and Henry Danger once had a crossover with the Thundermans, that means all these shows play in the same universe. That means people with superpowers existed at the same time while the plot of Victorous went on. Someone should make a theory video about that
@@woos057 that’s not true. In a episode of Game Shakers they revealed that (in their world) Icarly is just a TV show (in the episode where they snuck into Nathan Kress’s house). Now Henry Danger and Game Shakers had a cross over (there in the same world) so Icarly is just a show to Henry Danger as well. That means Cat is a character in the Henry Danger/Game Shakers Universe therefore that wasn’t cats brother. Sorry :/
@@Tech-cy9yo so that means victorious is just a show too because icarly and victorious had crossover episode. so maybe that thundermans and henry danger are in the same world or maybe just to everyone else thundermans and henry danger are a tv show. idk.
@@noellanewman3463 The Drake and Josh universe is a TV show to the Victorious/ICarly/Zoey 101/Sam and Cat universe, and that universe is just a show to the Henry Danger/ Game Shakers/ Thundermens universe
Funny thing about “They’re still making a lot of live action sitcoms today”…Henry Danger, the last Dan Schneider sitcom, and the last remaining active Nick sitcom today, is in its final 10 episodes. A lot of the live action programs now are non-sitcom. We’ve got an All That revival, an Are You Afraid of the Dark non-anthology miniseries that already ended, game shows such as a Double Dare revival that just ended, Keep It Spotless, an Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader revival, a The Crystal Maze adaptation hosted by Adam Conover that just premiered, the hidden camera show The Substitute, and the music competition series America’s Most Musical Family. And Top Elf. The Thundermans ended in 2018, Game Shakers last year, and Cousins for Life fizzled out really fast. I think the next sitcom that’s going to premiere is one starring rapper Young Dylan produced by Tyler Perry
Jaden Ramseur They had Halloween and Christmas themed episodes that aired in the appropriate times. But the December ones aired after both America’s Most Musical Family AND Top Elf. 9:30 PM Friday slot. One of the episodes (or more) was lowest for Nickelodeon all year at under 300K viewers
Kobe Hendrickx Yup. Oh, and there’s one more game show I forgot to mention that’s in development: A short-form Legends of the Hidden Temple revival for Quibi, Jeffrey Katzenberg’s upcoming streaming service. As for what else, I’m not sure what’s advanced in development enough to say off the top of my head, and I feel like looking it up would make things feel less genuine
@Enderpax Drizom Wouldn't little girls prefer BTR, because the show is about a boygroup? Idk, Victorious just has a more diverse cast over all. I'm pretty sure both boys and girls could enjoy the show.
@Enderpax Drizom While I disagree with your assessment, I agree that BTR had good songs and was funny. Your description fits both Victorious aswell as BTR. BTR especially had more slapstick comedy and "random" humor, but fair enough. Preferences am I right?
That’s So Raven had Nickelodeon vibes lol... Disney usually aimed for a much younger audience with their sitcoms but That’s So Raven didn’t feel so childish. The show is a classic though. I rewatched the whole series at least 5 times 😂
@@Tech-cy9yo how is it childish when theres a episode with chelsey getting a job instead of raven? Its because the manager did not exept black people to work there
I have good memories of show I liked music and of course the characters it was if you toke like funny parts of iCarly and music idea from Victorours or however you spell it that's what you would get iCarly is number one BTR is like number two Victorours is three Reason for this is iCarly I didn't like it at first but my ex girlfriend at time who still to this day Acts like we didn't date in 5 th grade but we did she loved iCarly and I hated it I thought it was dumb then me and her went are own ways it this didn't work out I wasn't best to her same with her to me but we had some good times but that's why I put iCarly at number one now why BTR is number two is beacuse I like iCarly in ways that I dot BTR but I like them about the same they both are good shows I feel Nostalgic about I this think 2010s in general where one of best decades for me it had its rough times but there was some good times also I should add I put Drake and Josh at three beacuse I dot really remember watching it as much as the other two but I do remember seeing it at one point I think Christmas special
I’ve always felt that iCarly predicted a lot of internet culture nowadays. One episode involved them making ads for a shoe company and their fans hated them to the point that they threatened to stop watching the show. this basically predicted RU-vid sponsors for things like Raid: Shadow Legends.
I imagine in a few years, a young animator will be making retrospectives of their favorite shows from growing up and have material from post 2010. God I'm old...
ned's declassified school survival guide was is and always will be my FAVORITE nickelodeon show to ever exist on this planet and there's no changing that. literally every character is iconic. even that weasel
FootofaFerret: The things I always liked was it's ensemble cast of musicians, actors, nerds, goths, puppets, and whatever Cat is!! Cat: What is that suppose to mean!? I died lol! 😂😂😂
I absolutely love Big Time Rush! It is one of my favorite Nickelodeon shows, up there with Icarly, Victorious, Drake and Josh, and Zoey 101. Those shows defined my childhood and because of those shows I question if I like Nickelodeon more then I like Disney. I still rewatch Big Time Rush and I still listen to some of their songs when I’m feeling nostalgic.
When you get older, you realize just how young they truly were. I remember looking at the Ninja Storm Rangers as a kid and feeling they were so adult-looking, but now you notice their youth more
Dan Schneider Verse 1: All That, Amanda Show Kenan & Kel, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious & Sam & Cat Dan Schneider Verse 2: Henry Danger, Game Shakers, The Haunted Hathaways & The Thundermans
There was Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn, Bella and the Bulldogs, that one show with the two girls that decided that if you have a BLADDER, you can't be popular (forgot the name)(two of the actors were in Swindled)
Yea my mom kinda does dat to I dpnt feel comfortable watching my favorite RU-vid videos with her cause i think she'll make me change it. But of course i still love her
Ngl, if you compare, Cat’s voice gets worse with time. In early Victorious it just seemed quirky, but by Sam and Cat it was incredibly annoying. I couldn’t blame my parents if they wanted to change the channel. Even though I agree that parents should just leave the room or find something else to listen to or watch while around
Kel Mitchell was my first celebrity crush. Little 7-year-old me genuinely thought Kel and I were soulmates because, I kid you not: I also loved orange soda.
I have to say Scott fellows sitcom where more cartoony in tone and fun Ned's declassified Big Time Rush 100 things to do before high school Are underrated gems
So you’re saying: Because of All That we got The Amanda Show Because of The Amanda Show we got Drake and Josh Because of Drake and Josh we got iCarly Also: Because of All That we got Zoey 101 And because of Zoey 101 we got Victorious And Because of iCarly and Victorious we got Sam & Cat, so does that make Sam & Cat an incest baby? Okay I’m done now 😂😂😂😂😂
Nah, you gotta revisit Ned's Declassified. I rewatched the whole series as an adult, and frankly it holds up better than Drake & Josh, iCarly, and Victorious.
footofaferret: victorious is the bets sitcom on nickelodeon that one who hate live-actio: it isn't a cartoon? haha....haha **unsubscribe** **dislike** haha good one
Such a fun trip down memory lane!! I gotta admit, I do enjoy Henry Danger. My mom and I watch it together and have a blast. All these shows were so much fun!!
Some of the newer ones are trash. However, one I think showed a ton of improvement is I Am Frankie. Especially season 2. The story and characters were interesting, the fight scenes were epic and it was a nice mix between comedy, action and sci-fi!
Here’s something that never made sense to me. In victorious Helen from Drake and Josh becomes the new principal of performing arts in one episode but in another episode cat mentions Drake and Josh as a show. How is Drake and Josh a show in the victorious universe if someone from the show is the principal and it’s not like he’s the actor that plays the person from the show he is the person from the show as she directly mentions the movie theater she used to work at and crazy Steve. To make things more confusing iCarly and victorious have a crossover which means they’re in the same universe and in iCarly you can see Carly watching Drake and Josh as a show In one episode But in the spin off show Sam and cat crazy Steve appears as a character in real life
Big Time Rush was amazing tho... And Victorious was okay, I'm sorry, I know a lot of people like this show, but I just found it a little too weird for my liking which is why I liked Big Time Rush
MetalStriker aka Prabhjot same it was one of my favorites! I thought it was so interesting about how a boy band group actually works, although I do find the sound effects a bit weird and totally random. I always felt like BTR would’ve been better if it had a Zoey 101 vibe, but anyways it still has some really good songs like Worldwide, City is Ours, and so many more,
The great thing about BTR (and Ned's cus it was produced by the same dude) they focused a lot more on the friendship and happy aspects rather than the underlying drama and exaggerated simple stuff we do daily while Victorious etc. throws in random and weird things thats out of the norm. I personally preferred BTR just cus of the charming cast I fell in love with but I do believe any Nick Show in general, if you didnt grow up watching it and decided to watch it when ure older wld seem kind of like a drag 🤔 ok this comment went on for too long..
iCarly, Victorious, Big Time Rush, and True Jackson VP would’ve been an amazing SNICK/TEENick Saturday Night lineup if they weren’t so neglectful about True Jackson toward the end
I thought you were gonna talk about the other Nick connected universe. First, iCarly and Victorious crossed over, establishing that they're in the same universe. This allowed Sam and Cat to happen. In the show Game Shakers, iCarly is nothing more than a TV show, and Nathan Kress is just an actor. Game Shakers crossed over with the show Henry Danger, and a character from Game Shakers is dating Henry. Henry Danger also crossed over with the show Thundermans, which crossed over with the show Haunted Hathaways. So Game Shakers, Henry Danger, Thundermans, and Haunted Hathaways all exist in the same universe. Here's where things get confusing: a character from Sam and Cat, an MMA fighter named Goomer appeared on an episode of Henry Danger. However, iCarly/Sam and Cat is just a TV show in the Henry Danger universe, so how can a fictional character appear on Henry Danger?
I kid you not when did the Moody’s Point thing I literally was so confused if I was watching the same show or not cuz all I did was turn on the tv and click the Amanda show so I was really confused what was going on
Ferret, I beg you, rewatch an episode of Ned's Declassified. I'm in my 20s and the episodes still make my sides hurt from laughing. It's so ridiculous and definitely holds up, but that could just be me missing being a kid...
Fun fact: Gibby almost had his own show. They only filmed the pilot I think but never aired it. Also Kid Danger is technically apart of the iCarly-Victorious Universe since Goomer is featured in it (which also connects Thundermans through their crossover and probably Game Shakers somehow)
I feel like Ryder was that kid at school that would quote vines/memes and scream randomly so he'd be funny even though people just were scared by him, but then they became ACTUALLY funny
12:12 I watched Ned's when I was in high school-college (partly because my kid brother watched it) and it's pretty solid. Good advice, great physical comedy, I'm not sure if some of the jokes have aged well but as an "adult" I liked it
I know you didn't want to talk about the modern shows after Sam & Cat, but, HERE WE ARE! In this comment section... yeah... SO- iCarly was supposed to have another spinoff called Gibby, but Nickelodeon wasn't smart enough to make Gibby a show, so they replaced it with Henry Danger. Henry Danger was longer-running than iCarly, and a little more popular at times. Though iCarly is still more popular-ish, Henry danger was very big and important. Because, people wanted to be in the Danger-verse for a long time, so Nickelodeon made a trash Nicktoon called "The Adventures of Kid Danger". Then after Henry danger was cancelled, they made ANOTHER FREAKING SPIN-OFF. *Insert Danger Force Meme Here* So yeah they made Danger Force. With a COVID-19 Special and a 13 episode Season 1 with the same humor, and yeah. You know, there is basically no new characters in Danger Force. The 4 new kids? PPHHHH They all appeared in Henry Danger's final episodes!!! So yeah..... Plus, they revived All That in 2019 sooo........ here we go again with the NCU (Nickelodeon Connected Universe)
Henry Danger was slightly more popular than iCarly BUT it didn't bring that much of a bigger impact than iCarly did. I don't think Henry Danger was cancelled either, cause it pretty much had a pretty dope finale. Adding on, The Adventures Of Kid Danger wasn't bad, the episode plots were actually cool but the animation quality was extremely crappy and I don't blame them either. The production came out bad because of the animators cancelling on them last minute. Everything about the show was actually fun! The theme song was catchy (much like the original), the episode plots were interesting, and it gave the same vibe as the original... Just without the, you know- bad quality?
I grew up and started remembering these sitcoms as Drake and Josh and NDSSG were wrapping and iCarly and eventually Victorious came into fore, remember lots of BTR too, I love them all so much, how that much consistent quality was produced over that time was absolutely mad. EDIT: I remember drips of Zoey101 too but never really properly watched it as I don't think RTE (Irish TV) picked it up like the rest
