''THE NIGHT I MET HANK'' by LEE GUTHRIE Story of the ghost of Hank Williams that was shot at The World Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nasville, Tennessee by Lee Guthrie
A great forgotten singer , a great forgotten song, that almost no one will remember. But me and the other 69 people who gave it a thumbs up will remember.
Remember hearing this on the juke boxes while having a soda with my pops at the bar back in the 80's pops was in his prime then he loved Hank Williams used to sing hey good lookin when he'd get tanked up. He would give me a quarter and tell me to play any Hank Williams on the box and he also always want me to play Moe Bandy, bar stool mnt. He was the real life king of barstool mnt.!Pops gone now but I always remember those times when ever I hear Hank Williams playing. RIP POPS
One of the best country songs on the topic of communicating with the spirit world, my favorite being Wayne Kemp's I HAD A TALK WITH THE MAN LAST NIGHT. (This wonderful production was sadly marred by not having the section of the bar where Hank's ghost sat down dimly lit so the scene fit the lyrics.) Nevertheless, a big thumbs up for a new "classic!" Respectfully.
Glenn Johnson Visited Tootsies two weeks ago while on my USA trip before recording "Hey good lookin" at the Ryman studio and i can tell you,got the goosebumps.Great song,Lee.Yeah, keeping Hank`s music alive.
Man that sucks.. Can I ask where and how he passed away? I just found his record in a store in Fayetteville, Arkansas and put some of his music in my show this week :(
@@IfThatAintCountry12 i just clicked on that pricks name, jack combs, not sure why hes trolling country videos because his background is pure puke shit, nothing but garbage connected to what he is involved in, from being obsessed with people dying to crap i couldn't describe, one of the pitfalls of this new technology is being able to say shit and not be responsible. im sure if he ran his ignorant mouth in public he wouldn't survive the ass kickings
I sat back in a room away from the stage. There was a lady there I was not fond of that was making advances on me. I'm damn sure it wasn't Anna's mother I worked with this girl @ a local Casino. Fine, I'm beading have...
