The night my mom met my dad. 

Back in 1976, my mom and grandmother used to send audio recorded messages back and forth instead of writing letters.
This recording is from the night she met my step dad. The recording is really about how she felt about his friend. Not my dad. Bernie was Dad’s friend. Hal is my step dad who was never a step. Always my dad.
The guy that asked her if he could use her ashtray was my dad “the guys friend.”
47 years later as my mom is about to pass away, he found this recording. I hope it makes you smile as much as I did.
