@@liongordel9088 i think it was a plan to make Pele the only guy to have won 3 world cups. Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Cafu could have joined Pele as the three time world champions. They Played 3 consecutive finals and won 2. I can never forgive Zagallo the trauma he caused me in 1998 for making R9 play in the final when he was clearly injured and for dropping Romario.

You can make apoint for him being pampered by the strong players he has had playing by his side, but in his prime Messi is still capable of doing stuff only players like Maradona did. And yes for me, R9 is better than Messi. I did say R9 is #1 for me, followed by Maradona and Messi

@总 i didnt think you were a Messi hater, so all good. Its true Messi doesnt have any significant achievements with the NT, but he hasnt sucked, he was very very good in both 2010 and 2014. But clearly, not at the same level as what Maradona was in 1986 and 1990. So I see your point there, but to call him sucky for argentina is a bit harsh. And yes Messi didnt switch to a different team, but he could walk into any team and still be the best player in the world. Theres no denying that. But its true, he should have also opted for a challenge and moved away from his comfort zone which was Barca. Also, I hard disagree on Dinho playing on a different level. He has a great skillset when it comes to dribbling, but it wasnt even 50% effective as prime (R9, messi and maradona). Kind of like Neymar in that regard. Very very good, but not always effective. Imo, if to be considered amongst the best of all time, effectiveness (or the intent to move closer to the goal) must be as high as possible. Also, if we're talking about sucking for the NT, it is not Messi, it is Dinho. Him and Kaka flopped in what was their supposed primes, 2006.

@@giovannigio3764 does cocu speaks for everybody??in romario hey day, he outperform everybody on the pitch..In Ronaldo hey days,not all the time he was the best player. 2002 was Ronaldo year I would say yes he's the man(that same year romario helped brazil to qualify for the world cup before the coaching staff turn on him)...in 1998 Ronaldo wasn't the best performer(zidane and Thierry Henry outshine him)...in 2006(zidane,messi,christiano Ronaldo and others were doing better than him)...He also became a fat man,a shadow of himself...Ronaldo longevity in the sports cut short....Romario played at a high level on every team he played on as the main scorer until he retired in his early to mid 40's....Romario use club teams in brazil and beat big European club teams for the world club championship(Corinthians and flamengo)....Most of the other Brazilian top players slowed down in their early to mid 20's ir late 20's...But romario was playing and getting picked up by teams during his whole carrier until he retired.

Os dois maiores centroavantes de todos os tempos, Romário mesmo longe do seu auge era uma gênio, a facilidade que os dois jogavam juntos em 1997 é algo incrível, independente de ter ganho as copas ou não se fosse pela qualidade técnica teriam jogados duas copas juntos, porém o zagallo quis dar o troco de 1994 e o Felipão mesmo tendo ganho a copa errou em não levar o baixinho que tava fazendo 60 gols por ano antes da copa

For me quite clearly the 2 best strikers ever, the only one who is close to then in terms of individual brilliance personaly would be Eusebio and Van Basten and still Ronaldo and Romario Inwould put ahead of those 2. Romario literally won every tournament he played with Brazil, the 89 and 97 copa america, the 97 confederatiojs cup and the 94 WC. If only he had an easier personality he would have playthplayede 1990, 98 and 2002 WCs as well as in the 91, 93 and 95 copa americas. But he always fought with coaches and the brazilian federation board, hell they only called him in the last game of the 94 WV qualifyers, imagine not calling a clear cut top 3 player in the world for the past 5 years for your national team for all these years... had him had an easier personality Brazil would have had eveb more titles

@@Luckymag-if4dw As much as I loved his arrogance on the pitch, off it he seemed to be simply obnoxious: his first European club was PSV Eindhoven, where he stood head and shoulders above all his teammates, and he once told the Dutch press that none of them were good enough to polish his boots! He was phenomenal in front of goal, though, and which coach seriously doesn't want a striker who's almost guaranteed to score 80 -90 percent of their chances? We've seen it before, with different countries, different coaches, players who should have been central to the coach's plans being overlooked because of a personality clash, or simply a lack of trust.

Nesse time, não. Nesse jogo. Não era uma característica dele jogar tão recuado e fazendo lançamentos e passes assim. Jogava muito, mas tava voltando pra seleção depois de um bom tempo e já não era a estrela do time. Por isso tava tão bondoso. Geralmente ele jogava perto da área para aproveitar as oportunidades de finalizar pro gol. Jogava muito bem, mas foi uma partida bem atípica dele. Ele tava brigando para ser convocado para a copa de 1998, por isso tanta abnegação.

Yes, Zagallo had made a very bad desicion. Romario was the Player of the last world cup back in 94 with Roberto Baggio. I will never understand him. Brazil was not that strong. I think Romario was a Key Player at that time for Brazil. Best Channel Beko thanks a lot. Very rare videos, great!

@@prinzonic9896 when Romario was in his prime he had returned to Brazil to play in Flamengo. Back in the days, the football in brazil did not have the same visibility as today, that's why you guys do not know too much about Romario. But many Brazilians consider Romario better than the phenomenon. Personally, I believe they are the two best strikers of all time, and two of the best players of all time

FIFA like Ronaldo more but Romario is the better striker. He was icecold for the goal and shows it for a longer period. But Ronaldo had more discipline. Romario was always too tired to train.

Romario is so so so so dangerous. He keeps falling back as a Central Midfielder because this team lacks a player with Dunga capabilities. Hell, no need for Dunga, Bibeto will take care of passing the balls.

Stupid of Zagallo by dropping Romario in WC’98. He should be replaced by Tele Santana,the best Brazilian coach.With Romario and Ronaldo played together is like Pele and Garrincha for Brazil. No team can beat this Brazil team when they played together.

O que aconteceu foi um processo degradativo gradual que foi se agravando com o passar do tempo. Isso ocorreu porque antigamente, lá ainda na década de 50 o Brasil tinha o melhor campeonato do mundo com os melhores jogadores, com o passar do tempo os clubes estrangeiros foram tirando os jogadores bons do Brasil, e com isso começou a degradação do campeonato nacional, porque praticamente começou a só ficar os jogadores sem qualidade no país, e agora com um campeonato nacional de nível baixo, qualquer jogador ruim consegue jogar, e o jogador que se destaca um pouco por ter qualidade já é rapidamente arrancado do país, e por isso não se forma mais jogadores como os de antigamente no Brasil

This tells you. That Brazil lack real coaches that take advance with such apportunity. You will not get every year players like Romario. Ronaldo. Bebeto. Rivaldo. Denilson. Roberto Carlos. Cafu. Djalminha. Leonardo. And etc. Though Carlos Alberto and Zagallo couldn't build a team. And they didn't give the real rights of Romario. After 1994. They called him after 2 years. Zagallo did not let him play in the Olympics of 1996 and world cup of 1998. Until today i didn't see a real coach with Brazil who knows how to build s team except Tele Santana. The best coach ever i wish he had Romario in 1982.
