This song takes me back to a time before all of the hurt, shame and reality really affected me. Back when there was innocence and all you saw was the joy of life. Kind of like you are singing this song as a message to a younger me at different ages, from the first initial stain of life that has built up to the adult I am today

I know that the original is about love lost, but your rendition really brings to mind the survivor of a sexual assault. Change a few words, and that's really what it would be. Hauntingly beautiful, sad, and very moving.

I relate this song to the night I lost my uncle. That meant the world to me.. Its been 12 years. But I cry everytime I hear this. And hearing your voice saying 'i had all and then most of you. Some and now none of you' made me break down. Idk if its just because I can relate to what i hear from you more because youre female(because i am) but I'm fucking crying. I just hope anyone that relates this song to a lost loved one knows they arent alone.
