Hey Jonny, Dave Stewart here from Repton Bar. Great video there btw but what about Soi 80?!! I'm back in Hua Hin from next Friday (22nd) and will be at the bar every day for the next 2 weeks. Our Soi is rapidly gaining momentum. And of course everyone is welcome!
@@michaelregan166 Actually it was the Repton school in Derbyshire that set up the Repton boxing club in Bethnal Green in 1888 I think, as a charity, for the underprivileged kids of the East End. 1884, sorry.
Much prefer the new bar complex over wonderland as there is more space to move about Went to wonderland on Wednesday one bar tried charging us 540 baht for 2 small Leo and 2 o/juice told them want to see check bin and got 180 baht back so it always pays to check the check bin
Thailand nightlife is on the up. If the test and go and all testing is removed the place will go nuts and be back to pre COVID conditions. Can't wait to get back.
Was in Hua Hin 2 weeks ago for 10 days, was great to be back. Soi Bintabaht is dead (with the exception of the Panama Bar). Soi 94 is very much the place to be. Cheers!
Glad to see things getting back to some sort of normal, which is great for everyone owners and staff. Great job as always jonny , Happy new year to you and the family.. a beautiful lady at the end as well .
Just watched the video Jonny, will be giving the new bar complex a visit tomorrow (fri 20th May) then wonderland, soi 80, behind Hilton, see you around I’ll get you a beer
The new area there by Sugar-Sugar looks great. Hopefully July things should be really opening up. You're back in the saddle again with the video's. Thanks for the update.
The complex looks really good Jonny, I am just concerned when later on in the evening , the bars all compete with each other as to who can play the loudest music. :)
Good Stuff Jonny . Can you let us know what’s happening where they are “reclaiming” the beach and knocking down the restaurants ? Along Naresdamri rd. Cheers mate . Happy Easter
Did you catch up with Jimmy Barnes the other week mate? He was there on holidays with his wife? Hua Hin is a favourite destination for our Jimmy 👍👍👌👌🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thailand looks great to move on, at least for some months. I appreciate this video, despite I am not a party person have lot of information. New subscriber here, cheers!
Always a good sign when the expats go there that beer isn't too expensive. So what will happen to Bintabaht? And your mate that refurbed a bar with a first floor. Like Whitesands, Koh Chang, the town want more middle class families & their suitcases, so the bars are told to go to the outskirts.
Good vlog Jonny, and a great subscriber to let you have all the GoPro stuff (Was that a new 360 camera I saw?). Times are certainly changing and maybe Bintabaht has had its day. I am hoping to get down to Hua Hin to see Jim once this weather cools down a bit, would be good to meet up if your around. And when you asked the girl her name and she said Mickey Mouse that was just the perfect answer.
Hi Johnny, why don't you take a trip up to one off the view points on Black Mountain, that way you can show your subscribers how beautiful HH realy is. It's not all about the beer bars although the are beautiful too 😉
Johnny, after you interview these bar owners do you tip or at least have a few beers for there time? You seem generous and genuine so Im sure you do something. But I am curious...
So Johnny things are starting to look up in hau hin haven’t watched your videos for sometime I’ve noticed you cut your hair it looks much much better the way it is now keep it short interesting videos . I think the bar industry in Thailand is definitely through the worst it was never going to last forever especially now flying from the UK you can just enter the country very good very good 👍
What does a glass of Jack Daniels consist of? 1 shot, 2 shots, 3 shots? If it is 1 shot, those prices are pretty much the same as the bars near me in the US.
Haha every video you say you are trying to behave yourself. I’ll be in Hua Hin in 3 weeks. I’ll go to wonderland to see if you are there. Are there any bars in Hua Hin that have the AFL on mate?
@@jonnyasia iIm now in Bangkok Visited also Phuket and Pattaya. Its definitely getting closer to so called normal. Maybe in July it will be even close to normal :)
Nice to hear, but it’s not yet is the reality, it’s more like it’s gearing up for tourism to return again. They need the test on arrival to go, that will really help, I’m gambling it’s all good for December, high season and good times, one months holiday, let’s hope it’s all good long before then.
No doubt it's the time of day...28 bars and no customers...I guess it will pick up as the sun goes down...No chance on getting anyone "on camera" as there is no one, unfortunately....Not one of your better videos Johnny, showing us totally empty bars and nothing happening...
@@jonnyasia Thats great and thanks so much for the reply 👍I visited Hua Hin for the first time in 2019 and loved it.I will be back in Thailand in a few weeks time and thanks to your videos I can see how Hua Hin is starting to come back to life and now I made my decision to spend some time in Hua Hin so once again thanks so much for the videos.😃👍
Jonny There Is Something Happening tell him to eat really good high quality raw meat and bone marrow, raw liver thus will restore his health after 3 months
Great vlog Jonny, I walked passed Le pub several times back in February, I never new those bars where being constructed, they look great, here’s a name suggestion for the complex, it’s what Thailand is for all monger’s, FANTASY LAND 🤣😎🍺🏌️♂️ Can’t wait to return.
Looks like there is a few good places to explore there at night. Hua Hin is on my to do list now I am living in Thailand. Great channel by the way Johnny. Was watching it alot before I moved from Sydney to Bangkok. Question though are the cocktails bad there like they are in the bars here. I notice the bars here use horrible syrup in the cocktails rather then real juice.
I always think that when I move out to Thailand I'll be clean living, going to the gym, swimming... then seeing this and realise actually I'll just end up being a complete monger lol.
As a property owner in Hua Hin the last thing I want to see is it turned into the low rent, sleaze pits of Pattaya and Patong that attract the Western or Russian wasters, drinking their time away, that frequent those places. 28 bars..Another fine example of Thailand's heard mentality when it comes to what they think we "farang" are looking for.
@@Realism11 Like I said if you want "bars" there's Patong,Pattaya or some of the seedier areas of Bangkok. If your idea of a holiday is Thailand's "bar culture" then join the other low renters there.Yes,it is a "holiday resort" mainly for up-market THAI people and the large number of "farang" FAMILIES I see when I'm there. The lost, single man market has the places mentioned to lose the hours at and more girls to chat up or "take home" for a short time. Since the last king died the usual Thai mafia, who were kept at bay when he was living there and who control the sleaze pits in Bangkok,Pattaya,Patong, etc have started moving in and I'd bet that "28 bar" area is owned by a likely member.
@@Realism11 Maybe I've had it for 12 years? Like I said there are "tourists" and there are low rent ,bar culture "tourists"..I just prefer the former and don't want to see a "walking street" in Hua Hin.
@@thefuturefactory56 there’s already a walking street in Hua Hin( bintabaht street), but it’s dying, the rents are to high so the bars are being forced out to Soi 94, greedy landlords.
