I cant remember his name but im pretty sure he just cuddled with leon the whole fight and won by decision 😂 add 20 more seconds to that fight and leon gets the finish with elbows
@@F1MotivationHis name is Belal Muhammed and he RAGDOLLED your boy. Absolutely demolished Sleepy Edwards. Your boy threw a few punches last 10 seconds and thought he did something 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So we can confirm this video is cursed. 1. Erceg KO'd 2. Belal beat Leon via dry hump 3. DDP beat Adesanya via "elite wrestling" 4. Pereira destroyed Jiri and isn't fighting Ankalaev anytime soon Brother why you do this?
the thing is, merabs wrestling isn’t dominant. not at all. that’s why he gets so many takedowns, he doesn’t really hold people down. his cardio is what makes him good, because he doesn’t let you get any offense off.
I agree, it's really just the non stop pace he would put on O'Malley that would beat him. But like I said I think O'Malley chins him eventually anyway, he's just too open to be hit
@@Brando_MMA yeah no i agree, with o’malleys intelligence on the feet i think it would only be a matter of time before he clips when merab is closing the distance
@@Brando_MMA Dude nobody is beating Islam anytime soon you can take the lightweight division out of the video, Islam has proven he’s too good for everyone at LW and Arman would get whooped easy because let’s remember Islam was so dominant with just keeping him on the ground last time they fought.
Hear me out. Brian Ortega is a nasty matchup for ilia. Ortega is the inferior striker but I think Ortegas chin would allow him to eventually get a takedown (on someone who primarily strikes in the pocket) and throw up a nasty submission. I think max gives one of his classic beatdowns on ilia in the standup tho
the mf may be pretty damn annoying but thinking Ortega can tank his way into a submission against a grappler is dumb. Even saying max beats him down is kind of far fetched when he was getting taken down by yair. That weight cut is gonna be brutal remember that when the fight hapoens
The Islam part was so funny, but actually that's what i like about lightweight, the title picture is extremely fun in lightweight because of how difficult the champ is.
@@Brando_MMA If you followed fighters closely you'd know that Bobby himself said he learned alot from that fight and that he underestimated the toughness of DDP. The dude's a dog which is why he's a champ, you wouldn't know much about being tough though from the sounds of it.
I honestly think Sandhagen has a better shot against O'Malley than Merab, and thats not even a knock against Merab because I could see him outpacing Sean and getting the decision for sure. I think Sandhagens game is just so well rounded he could give Sean fits everywhere.
I mean he was right, why do dislike khabib so much? You should go watch belal talk about getting held down by khabib for 20 minutes while talking about what he wanted for breakfast@@dummy2557
Jones is Aspinalls nightmare match up imo. Yes he’s slower and older, but his battle experience with the clinch and striking could make a fight with Tom very competitive. Gane is up there too though, but he’s not the toughest for Tom imo. Good video!
Love the Pantoja take, you're the only ufc content creator I've seen that doesn't absolutely glaze that man. He's really not that good, not that dominant, split decision with Moreno and should've lost to Erceg, yet most "can't see him being beat anytime soon" ???
Jones and Aspinall are each other’s nightmare. That’s why Dana won’t make that fight because he’ll lose a star in either one of those dudes after a KO/TKO or submission loss. Also, Ankakaev is gonna sustain a TBI in the form of a left hand from Poatan.
Really considered it especially after they already had a super close fight, but it's hard to trust him in a rematch that's not at elevation like the first fight at 41 years old now
Totally agree. Alex Pereira is making a mockery of the UFC by only doing MMA for 3 years and has 2 belts. And that's ONLY because he's never fought a wrestler. Or maybe he is actually that good but we won't know till he finally fights a wrestler.
Ooo I think if Islam fights in October in Abu Dhabi then we’ll have 2 title fights on the card most likely. Islam vs arman and Alex vs Ankalaev. That’ll be fireeeee
The worst nightmare matchup for Islam is Max Holloway, good takedown defense, insane boxing and striking, great gas tank, Islam gonna have the toughest one against Max
@@user-cv4ee4lz3t you don’t even know what you’re saying. Aspinall has already beaten all of the high ranked heavyweights except for Gane and Almeida. When he’s beaten Blaydes in the rematch which he will there will be no denying that he is the best. He will have beaten the entire heavyweight division except for Jones and Gane which are both ducking him which is telling me he’s better and Almeida isn’t even in the title picture yet
me personally, i believe not having umar at least as a honorable mention, even befo this last fight is insane work 😬😬, i personally have em as seans toughest matchup
Idk I think Cory Sandhagen would give Sean Omalley his best fight, he had the striking, he has the grappling, and he has that mother fucking dawg in him.
With all do respect I think Shavkat is the bogey man he’s so dangerous and I think he easily beats Leon he’s In my opinion the most talented in the division
@@Brando_MMA Yes, Justin is an overall a better fighter he is a straight killer compare Arman striking to Justin's better. Arman would die against Justin I mean the only thing arman has in the bag is the stamina Justin would probably defend most of the takedowns so that is a better choice instead of arman.
Erceg, Corey, I believe max is because he has a chin and great counter punching ( Illia swings for the fences a lot ), I think Arman has the best chance, shavkat probably has the best chance against Leon ( I’m a Leon Glazzer ), and then Jan so far is the only fighter that has the bright idea to wrestler with Alex, and for heavy weight Gane is a very good striker and could give Tom a great fight.
Wish you put Payton Talbott at the 3 spot for honorable mention over Kyler. I think Payton will develop the skills over time to become a top tier striker and he will be able to mix in wrestling. His clinch work is also incredible with how well he understands distance. Would love to see him and Sean one day, would be a world class match up if Payton keeps developing.
Belal been slept on too long he might not be the flashiest but his work ethic conditioning wrestling base and improved striking will be a problem for any welterweight
Gaethje might be in my top 3 for contenders, I know he just came off a loss to max but I think Justin still can hang with the 155ers better than max can. Also the wresting background would help him better than most lightweights
Sean should never have lost his belt because DDP didn't do enough in my opinion. There is a rule number one in UFC: If you want to get the belt to the champion you have to do more than an equal fight, you have to be really above to him. But DDP move the south Africa market for the UFC, which still is a little bit unexplored. Anyways, Dana had Sean winning that fight, but I don't know how referees are clearly influenced on their decisions...
@@Brando_MMA Way different from Magomeds 30% TD accuracy, average 1 TD per fight, with 0 subs in his entire career in the weakest division. Yeah you're right
the sloppiest champs are Pantojas, Du Plessias. The others, gonna prob hold their belts for 2-3 next fights. Malley, Pereira, Aspinall, Edwards and Makachev is stacked
May need to reassess Poatan after that Jiri rematch. Ankalaev better not try to strike with him because I do NOT think Pereira will struggle to knock him or anyone else out. The dude is just special.
I can respect it. I also love Whittaker don't get me wrong, he's probably my favorite fighter currently if not top 3. I'm just coping with the fact that DDP beat him
@@Brando_MMA Okay, well they're the same height and weight. Rob said he walks around between 215 and 220. DDP said he walks around at 215. So even if you don't consider "size" to be the same as "height and weight", they're still virtually the same size. To say either one is "tiny" compared to the other is just inaccurate.
I respect Volk, but I dont think he is a nightmare match up for Ilia after he got destroyed. Maybe in his prime…tho, but now. No. I like Diego tho, and maybe Aljo. We’ll see if Max has what it takes to get Ilia out of there; definitely has the chin!
We’re just gonna sneak in Tom Aspinall when he’s the interim champ? Leaving out Jones, who happens to be the real champ? Absolute insanity. Aspinall beats Sergei, and now he’s the big man on campus? Come on. Absolute joke.
So Jon Jones is the real champ? The man who refuses to fight the interim champion of his own division like every other champion in history has done before him? The man who is avoiding unifying the belts so he can give 42 year old Stipe a title shot after a nearly 4 year layoff coming off a KO loss? Jon Jones doesn't want to be taken seriously. He's taking his easy fight against an old man and retiring. He's irrelevant. Why would I talk about him when there's no chance he fights anyone other than Stipe? Just a waste of time
@@Brando_MMA he completely dismantled Gane in 4 minutes.. someone who had never been finished, and became the champion. He then called out Stipe after the fight. The champ has the right to call out whoever he wants. Tom was nowhere close at that moment. He wasn’t even ranked in the top 5. The UFC decided to make an interim belt, and they gave Tom a crack at it, even though he wasn’t even ranked top 5. Now, because Tom won his little fake belt.. the real champion is supposed to accommodate him? That’s not how it works. Jon’s been winning title fights since Tom was running around on the playground. He can call out and fight whoever he wants. He made the call out before Tom was even in the picture. It’s the UFC’s fault for making an interim belt and putting it up for grabs in the first place. Tom was ranked #6. He shouldn’t have even been the one to get a shot at an interim belt. Blaydes is going to KO Tom in a couple of weeks. That should put a stop to the Tom hype train.
@@cjdig86 "that's not how it works" That is quite literally how it has worked in every instance that there has ever been an interim belt in the UFC. It's ok, you're a Jon fanboy who can't accept the fact that he's ducking a young hungry interim champion for a 42 year old man walking with a cane.
