The car is literally a mix of Lotus Evija, Mclaren Solus (front), Porsche Carrera GT (wheels), Koenigsegg CC850 (rear and sideview) and Pagani Zondaesque exhaust.
The front graphic is actually the area I would modify, instead of the rear. The front running lights are so fine and defined by the intakes that it gives the impression of a screaming, eyeless face. There’s a lack of structure in the front end that I see almost everywhere else.
The exhaust layout is reminiscent of the Apollo Intensa Emozione hypercar layout but more traditional with round pipes instead. Like others, I see a strong resemblance to the De Tomaso P72, which is a good thing. It is basically a modernized late '60s-early '70s full-bodied race car. I LOVE the interior, nothing like it. The seats look like something from a '70s concept car. I agree with everything that was said in this video. Unexpected and astounding design.
I was saying the exact same thing about the tail lights...it doesn't really match the overall aesthetic of the car....I would have also leaned more into the (skeletonization) look with more open areas in maybe the side, like do some exposed glass panels areas in the doors or open up the front area...but that's just me
When this car came out I couldn't stop thinking of the video that you would do just praying this beautifull desing because I follow you since a year o so and I knew this has everything you want in a hypercar design and driving experience concept so... Here I am as puntual as always enjoying this beauty with you my friend
What a machine. Sasha knocked it out of the park. Everything you need.. nothing you don't. I'm guessing the street legal version will have headlights and some kind of engine cover for when it rains.
I really like your take here, the Styling progresses from organic and covered in the front to industrial and open in the rear - explains the otherwise way too different light signatures
Thank you for the statement abut displays, i think the same about it. I bught a Z4 (E85) 3.0Si and had searched a while for one without the (ugly) Display, cause i want to drive, when i am driving the Z4. For other things i have my Golf 8. 😅
I also agree with you completely about the lights! I said something similar on Cardesignworld’s post. But in watching your video right now something just occurred to me, I’m reminded of Sasha’s saying that the design of this car is very much a nod to the best of the best (paraphrasing) and if that’s the case all the way through; then I imagine going cheap or “industrial” on the taillights and design shifting on the headlights…is right on brand with the other cars that have inspired it. (looking at you Lamborghini & McLaren 😂)
The back is giving me pagani huayra long tail vibes from the back and with the green house. It looks nice, though I've seen a very similar front facia before on a concept car but can't remember which.
since production of cars became so widespread and acessible and so many small batch "supercars" with insane projects started flowing the industry a lot a bad stuff has come out, this one certainly breaks the trend, what an amazing car
Mate I just bought a 2016 Octavia Estate VRS, would love to see you do an old school redesign like back in the day!! Love the vid, was thinking of you when I first saw this spaceship.
What you are witnessing in this Nilu 27 is the birth of a superstar. I am so proud of Sasha for having the spirit of the old-school car designers. That's because car designers of the classic era focused on pleasing the consumers. Whereas car designers of the modern era seem to focus on pleasing other car designers, since there are so many of them. Sasha will probably have to build way more than 100 of the Nilu 27, rather than the planned 50. That's because there will most likely be a very high demand for the Nilu 27. Heck, he might just have started a new trend in hypercars. All that is left now is for the Nilu 27 to appear in a TV show, or in a movie like The Fast & Furious franchise, then its stardom would be cemented. This is what happened to the legendary Lamborghini Countach. Upon debut, most Americans were not even aware of the Countach's existence. But all that was to change with the fantastic car-chase openning sequence of the movie Canonball Run. The world saw the spectacular Lamborghini Countach for the first time, racing on American highways, and the rest as they say is history. All those who witnessed it have never recovered from that Countach grand entrance. It was like watching a spaceship land. The Nilu 27 appearing on a movie screen would feel like a deja vu of that Countach event.
Even though I like the car's proportions, somehow it looks unfinished to me. However, I see potential in it and the idea behind a NA v12 with a manual gearbox, andanalog dash makes a lot of sense.
Wow, what stunning job by Sasha and Nilu27 team! The interior is gorgeous, everything is so stylized yet somehow not over the top. I love the rear, I absolutely adore the top view. I also like the front, but I don't feel it suits this car. Then again, if it had the front that has the same ethos as the rear it'd probably be too much Koenigsegg looking car. I agree with maybe adding more organic LED's for the rear, maybe it's something the'd do for the road version which would make sense. I'd love to see this car compete in racing someday.
Love the rear, ADORE the interior, top-view is eeepic. However, front & profile 🙁 The rounded mouth really doesn't work for me (seems dulled and heavy) and the lines on the side just seem compromised and a bit disoriented. But then again, what do I know 😅
what makes this a hypercar, its not steet legal and has less hp than corvettes or entry level ferarris these days. Its stunning but not even a car, def not a hyper. Also the price is crazy for a company with no heritage and nothing to show for. I dont wanna hate i think its one of the best desings of the last years.
I think this is probably my favorite hypercar ever. It goes back to all the things I love about older race cars and early hypercars like the F40. It does away with all the gimmicks that cars like the Bugattis have, is less fussy and much cleaner than the Paganis and looks more impressive than cars like McLarens and Koenigseggs. I love that they have a gated manual transmission and not the paddle shifters. It feels the most like a modern interpreation of the Ferrari P3 and the Porsche 917 shorttail. Gorgeous design.
That's the problem with modern cars... Especially the interior... It's basically turning into a smartphone... Touch everything. Which is perhaps okay for daily commuter vehicle. But personally, a supercar doesn't need it. The car itself should be the stimulation... My opinion
Love the sound logo 💯 genius 15 units is disappointing 🤦 going to be worth 15m The LED lights really set it off ⚡😤💫 & The exposed back is mind blowing 🤯💨 The orange wing 🔥👹🔥 Omg nice touch 👌✨ You're right about the back lights 🤙 The seats are just melting 🥵
If I was a billionaire or even a high level multimillionaire, this is the type of car I would own. Not necessarily drive it much if at all and that’s the problem I have with these type of cars. They’re just collector items. All the talk about the V-12, the HP, the gauges in the interior and it never gets driven.
Tach Berlin! Was geht?😎 Jaja, schickes Wägelchen! Ein bisschen Lotus Evija vorne, etwas De Tomaso P.72 in der Mitte, und hinten Apollo Intensa Emozione, Porsche 917 und Koenigsegg zusammen! Wild!
Bugatti Chiron, Pagani Zonda, div. Mclaren, div. Ferrari, sehr viele GT3 RS, auch 1x De Tomaso P.72, 3x Apollo Intensa Emozione, div. Huracan, div. Brabus und Mansory Autos! Die gehen fast alle nach Dubai! Sogar mein Liebling Diablo SE30 hab ich schon 2 mal selbst gesehen! Aber leider in Weiß und Schwarz, nicht Lila Metallic...🤷♂️🤣
Waiting for 2026 when some 69 year old billionaire Saudi Prince bins this thing into a hedge outside of London. It is beautiful though and I love the trend of NA hypercars as of late. I currently own a G82 M4C but sometimes miss the days of my old E92 M3 with its 4.0 liter V8, revving it out and the sound it would make wringing it out on a backroad. Btw - The steering wheel is the same shape and size of F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve.
The front is a huge miss tbh and he kind of goofed on the interior, everything looks all over the place. The rear end is where he really created art imo. I feel like his name precedes the actual design of the car. If this were don’t by an unknown designer, critics would have hounded him to hell and back. 6/10 imo
9:24 top view makes the cockpit look like a Fox mask 12:13 I really agree with this one or they connect the 2 squares top to bottom to make it Vertical rectangle which resonantes the nilu logo which is sharp and little tallish but yeah it looks different but IMO the tail lights makes the car look different from the front its like not so same vibe. The back also look unfinished because of the exposed engine idk I like the front, side, and back view but the front and rear looks makes it unconnected the back reminds me of Pagani style it got the look and tactile feeling in the eye of a Pagani Utopia and the front looks like futuristic (It needs a little bit more of Retro futurism) just my opinion anyway still like the car I take it over a Bugatti
I want to love it but its just... Front looks like a different car than the middle, and rear looks like a different car than the middle, it just looks like a kitbash garage made car, and not the prettiest one.
The only underwhelming thing about this car is the name, the name of the company, the name of the car, and even more so the logo, it's so generic, none of it evokes HYPERCAR for me, a minute after watching some of the videos, I could barely recall the name. Not to mention, the car design is minimalistic and elegant but putting the logo everywhere contradicts that in so many ways, there is still time, but I don't think they are going to change that. Everything else is quite beautiful and even refreshing in some ways, the open engine, the gear shifter, the seats, etc. I really liked it.
9:20 i still dont get why nobody makes a center position car like the Mclaren F1 i want to make my own car one day, and the center position is the very first thing i can think of. it only makes sense. Perfect driver position and u can have 2 people with u. looks like the only person that out some thought into those details is Gordon Murray, the myth and legend. give the Nilu 27 center position, a bit less generic (modern) design with some more old school shapes and nice looking headlights (eyes of the car) and then it would the best thing ever. A fan for groundeffect would also be awesome.
it doesn't get more natural than this. That's a weird weird comment. Love the design and these videos. I get that naturally aspirated ICE engines feel organic, but that's a learned thing. I would say sucking oil out of the ground, refining it and burning it pretty inefficiently isn't natural. I love driving, and I think electric will feel as interesting soon. Isn't the ICE wasteful and overly complicated?
The back of the car is perfect. Extremely Koenigsegg but completely staying with the ethos of keeping it raw. For me the front of the car looks electric... of wait... I see what he is doing now 😅. You think you're being overtaken by an electric car but when it gets in front you see it's definitely not electric. Ok. If that is what he is going for than that's awesome. However as I was going to say I don't like the front of the car.
