I like atmospheric motors as much as the next guy; in fact, I own two sports cars that feature NA engines. however, I find it puzzling that the default refrain of the automotive community over the last ~10 years has become "turbos = bad; NA = good". turbocharged cars can be fun too - often more so than atmospheric ones on public roads (where, truth be told, the majority of us do our driving). their variety of noises alone - turbo spool, external wastegates, BOVs, etc. - is enough to make them more compelling propositions during an otherwise uneventful drive. after all, no one ever complains about the f40 being turbocharged...
OH MY GOD the sound and the backfires! Easily the highlight of the video. Also, as a huge Noble fan - almost a loyalist - I love it when channels review these underrated but impressive cars! I remember back when this came out and was featured on Top Gear, which I believe was the only mainstream show that featured the M600, and it was an instant favourite. I feel it's a bit of a shame that it never got the same level of attention and recognition that its compatriots from Lamborghini, McLaren and Ferrari received.
Yes I remember lil Richard almost dying in that thing pushing to the limit and basically tying the Aventadot that Jeremy went psycho focus on .. that Noble in that episode was sick and as crazy as the Lambo was driven and pushed . That Noble was a monster and you truly respected that thing as a wild animal ! It was so fast for no reason yo !
I remember, when The Stig took it out on the old Top Gear for a lap, he beat the lap time of the Pagani Zonda with it. Shows you what an absolute performance monster this car is, in the right hands. Also fun fact: the turbo chargers in the M600 are made by Garrett AiResearch and were originally designed to power turboprop aircraft!
One of my dream cars, all for the drive, no scuderia shields, triplo stratto paints ,hermes bag upholstery or matching numbers nonsense...just a good engineered sports car
I was just looking for information on these cars yesterday. Seems like an amazing car for what it was supposed to compete with. It’s a shame that it was never sold in the US. Looks like I’ll just have to admire it from across the pond.
probably for the better, they might've ended up split in two, one by one. no discipline out here for those to be respectfully operated. phone zombies and look-at-me's would be a major threat, apart from rotting infrastructure and endless red lights
Check the weather forecast. Get the keys Check the weather forecast. Open the garage door start engine. Still dry. Cool. Get in and drive , and what a drive. Crazy car crazy times.. no volvo in that, thats for sure surprise you even get seat belts.. Thanks for making such epic content and sharing it with us meer mortals.. 😎
One of the things I love most about this car....is the rear-end. So much styling in that rear-end (for its time), and I love the overall curves on the car. This was always my favorite Noble, from every angle.
As per usual with all SCD videos, I've rewatched this several times. The sheer quality of the cinematography on this channel is unrivaled. Thanks for showcasing so many amazing cars! Most of us will never be able to drive any of the cars shown on this channel, but your videos are the next best thing for us to experience these incredible machines. Thank you!
I was just about to comment the same, it's not that often that I run into videos with this amount of clarity and this high of a framerate it literally caught me off guard how nicely this was filmed!
@@PaddyMcQueen Enlarged and heavily modified version of the 3.4 SHO V8 Yamaha originally made and produced for Volvo XC90... seeing its full potential in the Noble with forced induction and a Motec ❤
Not sure if it’s because I’m watching on my iPhone, but the music was ear-piercing and way too loud compared to the car/ voice audio, could have even foregone the music altogether IMO. Anyway, brilliant to see a review of an otherwise under-reported car, thanks for doing it such great justice.
Good review, I was lucky enough to own an M12 GTO even that was superb. Met Lee N at the factory when I took it for a service. He was spannering. Good man
ABS also would not detract from the analog feeling this car affords you. It's just a win-win improvement I think. It should be an option. But this car is beyond awesome. The sound alone is crazy, it looks great and everyone who's driven it raves about it. A dream car indeed.
Amazing review. The editing and sound... loved it. Most of the time people say the Porsche Carrera GT is tje last pure analog supercar but we oftenly forget about this masterpiece. And i do believe its even more dangerous cuz is ~200 kg lighter.
Im glad Top Gear featured this car or else I and most people probably may never seen this car. And the fact that its really good. I feel like this is an underrated classic. People talk about the last of the analog supercars like the Ford GT and Porsche Carrera GT. This car literally should join that list. And its awesome looking. Here is hoping Noble's next car is good.
Loved the review but if I can propose something it's that you sort out the sound editing. The music is too loud, so we can barely hear what he's saying and we don't hear the car as well. Less music, more voice, and definitely more sweet car sounds :D keep it up!
I was on the noble from the first Forza Motorsport on on the first Xbox I've been in love ever since amazing how they improve or they changed the chassis rear end the front end and still kind of the classic look of the car still having really mastered how to drive it on the current version overalls men one of my favorite cars for probably about the last 20 some-odd years
Absolutely glorious car, definitely my go to of the super/hyper cars. As a few other people have said, thanks for reviewing and capturing se good sounds and footage. Any chance of an upload of a few minutes of just sound?
Its the drivers choice, people who want this car most likely own a lotus or five , this car is not about ego the brand the image it's about the experience , fly boys drive Ferrari and Lamborghini and Aston Martin , real automotive lovers drive cars like the Nobel
