Easily the best girl vocal group in my opinion, with only The Supremes being in the same league. Deserved way more success than they had, and I think that was down to a mixture of the squeaky-clean / girl next door image (which unfortunately doesn't target the record-buying demographic) and their material mainly being of the disco genre, which was on it's way out when they were on the rise. Any number of songs would have given them their No1 if they had been written for them, including this one and others they sang on the tour, which they'd have utterly derserved. If I had to pick a contender, it would have been another another Steinman track. When Meat Loaf turned down Making Love Out Of Nothing At All, the girls could have made it spectacular. Possibly they could have been overlooked as it may have been felt their image didn't fit. But it could have been redefining at their peak. As it was, the track was a complete flop for Air Supply, in the UK at least. A fair summary would be that they became part of the national furniture and consciousness, without us fully appreciating how good they actually were.
Rory Payton she was left out of the tour and because of that they fell out with each other and Bernie Colleen Maureen and Linda didn't speak to Ann or there other sister Denise for 4 years
