even thought a jacket is breathable you still sweat and overheat while wearing it, from what i gather the more breathable a jacket is the quicker it drys out the sweat that clings to the inside of the jacket, thats the reason we need to treat goretext jackets with a waterproof coating, even though goretext doesnt leak, if the outside gets soaked the sweat inside the jacket cant escape
Do you think this would serve as a good lightweight breathable jacket for skiing? Looking for a lightweight shell on warmer days (20-30 F) in Colorado. Seems I could easily layer and still have breathability with this
Hey Luis, both have almost identical features but use two different waterproof fabrics. The Venture 2 uses DryVent™ 2.5L and packs into its own pocket and is the cheaper of the two. The Dryzlle uses Breathable-waterproof, seam-sealed FUTURELIGHT™ 3L. I hope this helps.
You are right, the newer version of this jacket is Futurelight. However the jacket in my video is Gore-Tex (older version). The Gore-Tex is even printed on the sleeve which is highlighted in the video.
