It's a jacket designed specifically for runners and trail runners. It has no pockets to reduce weight and because all weather runners won't need hands in their pockets and often keep their equipment in a running vest pack or run belt. It's literally designed to keep you dry and light on a trail. All the extras add weight. If you want pockets. Get the similar papsura jacket from the summit range
Hey! Thanks for watching.....I'm not familiar with that jacket. This Superior Futurelight Jacket is light, has no pockets and sheds lots of rain. You also don't get any pit zips. So if this sounds good to you then you will love this jacket.
I'm going to do another review of the jacket. This first look was impromptu... I didn't even open the jacket so you could see the pocket. Thanks for watching.
In my opinion it would depend on how cold it is. This piece is not paper thin and it's definitely not a burly 3 layer shell. This piece is more of a Fall/Spring rain shell for milder days. It's also for people who want to keep things minimal because it has only one small pocket. For skiing I would look at the Pumori or L5 which I think is perfect for skiing. The fabric feels awesome against skin and is really like a highly water resistant soft shell. One last thing is this Superior Futurelight Jacket is short in its length so you have to ask yourself if this style will suit your skiing style.
