Brilliant piece of work and, of course, brilliant music from Stan Rogers. A few minutes of pure pleasure.

There was a video like this before. Only the music was Bach. I think it was Concerto Moderato Allegro 3. The music on this one is quite beautiful as well. They both speak to the soul. Bravo!!👏👏👏👏❤️

This is fabulous! I've been devouring NW Passage books for the past few weeks, and something like this, which connects all the expeditions by tracing out how the map was gradually filled in, is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much!

Absolutely fantastic animation. I would love to see one that focuses more on the land exploration and the attempts to cross the rockies, to the west coast. Duncan McGillivray, David Thompson, Mackenzie, Simpson etc.

One question, though. What about the Rae expedition of 1853-4? Rae discovered the Rae Strait, separating the Boothia peninsula from King William, establishing that King William was an island. It's been claimed that this was the final piece of the NW Passage.
