I live in Charleston SC and my wife knew Ryan Gosling long before he became famous. We were able to be on site for much of the filming of the notebook and my wife and Ryan were able to see each other after nearly 20 years. Another neat fact, my sister in law held her wedding at the William Aiken house and my daughter works at boone hall plantation.

Yeah I know they brought them in, I mentioned that in the video not sure I knew how they removed them all though but I knew they couldn’t just leave them all there.
Fire hydrants were always red and most of them still are. Where does she live because there are still fire hydrants. The movie was filmed in SC, but the book was in NC. According to what I have read, the town is supposed to be Seabrook, SC which had no meters in 1940. Noah was the only one wearing black at the dinner and why didn't anyone tell him. You do realize they probably did not have a rental place, he was poor and wore what he had. Poor Noah? You think he was distraught for not wearing white. The geese in the book were Canada geese and there were swans in the book, but only 4 in the movie. I have been to where Steel Magnolias was shot.
