when i first heard biggie's music, i thought he was in his late thirties or forties, his voice and lyrics sound so mature and deep. He got the aura of a boss at such an early age.

I FKIN LOVE THIS ENTIRE ALBUM. I had the Honor of Meeting Big in 95 ' I can't even explain how his passing crushed a lot of people in New York to me , Big was able to Verbally PAINT PICTURES with his verses that Put You in the scenes and if you know the streets you can easily Identify the struggle, and the Mastery of how he was able to spell it out -the entire landscape. I always believed had he remained alive, He'd be in the Hundreds of Millions if not a Billionaire his vision was that Powerful. STILL MISSED IN 2022 RIP
Notorious B.I.G painted clear pictures with words, he it does in details, adds soundtracks and set it in motion. Total Genius, with a natural, steady flows in total harmony with beats. He is the G.O.A.T. of rap.
BIG picked up rap so fast He made so much success within just 2 albums Just Imagine if BIG was still alive. When BIG & 2 Pac died a big part of hip hop died and so did i RIP🙏
Omg such memories. I bought this in the 5th grade when it came out (double cassettes ) I was a little white girl at a Christian school and everyone said how did your mom let you buy that ? Don’t they cuss ? I said they sure do and as long as I don’t repeat it I don’t care and my mom gave consent, I still have those worn out cassettes and know all the words, literally listened to the same album (flipped sides and rewinded as necessary) for years and when he died I was crushed
@@joshuagumpert8910 wtf are you talking about? lol did you even comprehend her message? I bought this album too but I was 17 when I bought it and like her I jammed tf out of this album too! And just like her, I too was crushed when he got murdered even though I listened a little more to Tupac. What’s there to call bs about? Even though Biggie died 2 weeks before this album was released he did have a previous album “Ready To Die” lol 😂
1. Long Kiss Goodnight (Best) 2. Nototious Thugs (Perfect) 3. The World Is Filled... (Perfect) 4. Somebody's Gotta Die (Perfect) 5. YNUSKY (Perfect) 6. Hypnotize (Perfect) 7. My Downfall (Perfect) 8. No one is a more legit old-school rapper than Notorious Big. He cannot be outperformed. I am not even a huge fan of rap, but I know enough to know that Notorious Big is the best, hands down.
Happy anniversary biggie we love you & forever will sir. You’re music along other rappers changed the game for many centuries to come. Rest well Christopher 🖤💛 stay on top in paradise
@@IsMcLovin oh for sho brother but ngl I miss him man I can’t imagine what he’d be like into todays age, well one thing for sure he would ripped up the rap game and still be on top of it all
Watching BIGGIE I got a story to tell, right now. I know every word to this album. Happy Anniversary we will love you forever, this shit was my teenage years….
Life After Death is easily a Top 5 rap album of all time. Notice new things everytime I listen to it. Definitely deserving of it's 5 mic rating. The more you listen to this the more you realize it's one big 2pac, Nas, Rae and Ghost diss album and to me that makes this album even better.
@@JM-FreeMcDrilla I listened to it a few times. He definitely got alot of diss lines on here. And often. It's like he was focused on the theme of the album but still showed pettiness any chance he could.
Arguably the best HIP-HOP ALBUM OF ALL TIME. In contention with "The Chronic", "The Chronic 2001", "Illmatic" and "Doggystyle". NOT ONE SKIPPABLE. NOT A-ONE!!!!
Lol loved how you named it The Chronic 2001, which was the original title (2000) that was later stolen by Suge Knight, which forced Dr. Dre to rename it to 2001.
dude just leaves out all eyez on me which IS the best album of all time...doesnt mention Atliens or southernplayalistic....e.1999...cmon bro...u can say chronic but you can not say chronic 2001 without mentioning about 100 other albums....the ones mentioned above....C murder life or death...mac shell shocked....50 cent get rich or die tryin...jay z reasonable doubt...lil wayne carter 1....hot boyz guerilla warfare...master p ghetto D...raekwon only built for cuban linx...prodigy HNIC...B.I.G. ready to die....pastor troy face off....jadakiss kiss the game goodbye....sheek.louch walk witt me styles p gangsta and a gentleman dmx its dark an hell is hot Etc etc etc etc.....those plus many many more well above chronic 2001....literally not even close
Wish I could’ve bought the Spotify tape record that I was offered, I wasn’t alive to see or hear Biggie in person, but his music has more than lived on in my and his other fans’ hearts. RIP The King of New York
It might be the best ever to me :you can literally play it straight through you might like some songs more than others but you LIKE ALL OF THEM nonetheless .
one of the best ALBUMS period...forget the double part.....All Eyez On Me is the best album ever made....#2 you can argue an dispute this ...ready to die...reasonable doubt...illmatic...get rich or die tryin...carter 1.. ATliens....ghetto D....so many more but all eyez on me will remain up top for eternity
@@derrickwright5728 2pacs catalogue is quadrouple the amount first off...2nd of all...its ok to have an opinion...but when you say it "isnt touching it"...your showing that you are BIAS towards big over pac and that you aint a real one....and reasonable doubt will never be above life after death or all eyez on me...damn bro ur ears need better IQ or some shit...ready to die is better than life after death too by the way an ready to die isnt better than all eyez on me either...it literally runs out of tracks when going track by track...reasonable doubt top 6 or 7 all time...but its not in the convo with AEOM or either of bigs 2 albums
@@tenelson3 bruh I just said when biggie dropped his debut album it was considered “GOAT status “ (WHILE BEING ALIVE ) Tupac dropped mad albums before he died and nobody really jacked it Like that people Only jacking it cause he’s dead lol 😂 that’s not opinion that’s A FACT …
Still bumping this in 2023. Legendary -- is an understatement. Respect to the best to ever touch the mic. Not a single skip. All BANGERS !! So many quotables! Beyond his time. Timeless classic. ❤ RIP BIG ! Streets miss you !
passive aggressive huh, put that holy sprit inside and let the truth spilling out now. It ain’t over till it’s over, which is nevertheless good for you 😉👨🍳🚙🤷
@@dannybentley1918 biggie made the name for the album check his last interview he explains why, ready to die is about him being in the hood and broke ready to die and life after death is him being past that moment in his life he don’t need to rap about being broke no more so it’s life after the hood
This is music u could listen to for the rest of ur life because every song on this album have a relating rhyme Or song that pertains to ur life of friend you know salute to the team for allowing his legacy to live on he will never be forgotten.
His storytelling is impeccable. And it's not just a story itself which is unique, it’s the lyrics and the thought behind it, definitely one of the greatest if not the greatest.. I never really listen to these things with the headphones in, this also shows Puffy's brilliance with all the background sound effects and talking..
If only Tupac would have shut his big mouth. He loved that controversy loved It. Made money off of it. And that's how little rainbow boys and drill rappers do it now. Talking trash. Biggie was the best . Imagine just3 or four more Albums forget it.
My NAME IS SYNA LIKE SINNA FROM ARLINGTON STATEN ISLAND NEW YORK CITY AND I USED TO BUMP THIS WHEN I WAS 16 YEARS OLD! LOVE YOU BIGGIE THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER AS GREAT WITH THE FLOW! WEST BRIGHTON AND THE HARBOR MANHATTAN BRONX BROOKLYN QUEENS!
If I remember correctly, I was 19, 2 years deep in the drug game..went to the blackout sale, meaning his album came out at 12:00 a.m. and the record store open up at that time just to release this, four of us went to the record store and four of us purchase a CD. Then three of us did our usual thing, take the CD to my homeboy's house, go upstairs to his room pop it in roll up three blunts, smoke and analyze the CD. initially we all like the CD, wasn't as gutter as Ready To Die, but as days and weeks passed by and the more and more we listen to it, we realized that this dude is a freaking rap and lyrical genius.
There's just something about this album, it doesn't hit quite as hard as Ready To Die at first, but i found myself revisiting it more and more often. It's become almost addicting. Hope you're doing well now
@@tadeojablonski105Well we know where the drug game leads( I was selling marijuana, crazy on how it’s legal now)… I got locked up at 24, came home at 29… worked two jobs, got married and we had 4 boys. I was able to save up money and invested into a property, flipped it, and the hustle continues. Legitimately! Thanks for asking
Much love and respect for this, thank you guys for bringing back the music we all grew up on. Despite being a different genre, THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. (the original Biggie) has influenced so much and still continues to influence in a lot of current music/art.
Don’t care what nobody says this is still as fire as All Eyez On Me both PAC and Big made the two best double albums in hip hop. Only a few artist made classic double albums like OutKast, Three Six Mafia, Bong Thugs, Dipset and Wu-Tang but many other artists failed especially Nas and Jay-Z. Big and Pac are true rap legends and of course Nas too. Classic album.
